Shuri showed promise at Newcastle on August 3, finishing 2nd out of 8 in a BM68 on a soft track, just 0.0 lengths behind Amicus Curiae (58kg) with 56.5kg at $3.00. With that run under its belt, Shuri is expected to improve and I think is a strong contender for this race. Previously, 2nd of 8 at Newcastle BM64 on July 16, 2024 over 1400m. Should enjoy running first-up as has been the case in it's career.

Just finished behind the places in it's last start, finishing 4th out of 11 on July 24. So I think it can improve after that run and should be fitter here.
