Cap Ten has been freshened before this race and has won first-up before. That was at Ballarat on a synthetic track. He should enjoy the track at Moe and he is ideally drawn to get a good run in this race.

Kalends didn’t like the heavy track last run as it finished last at Warrnambool. But the track conditions on Tuesday should suit it nicely. She has a good record when she’s running on these types of tracks before and I think that bodes well for this race. Also, she gets a good Barrier draw near the inside.

In its latest race at Tamworth BM74 on November 26, it managed to get 4th place out of 9, pretty good effort. Previously, 2nd of 14 at Scone BM74 on November 11, 2024 over 1100m. Looking at its track record, I like the trend of winning form when it is racing here. Good stats at the distance too, bodes well for Tuesday. Has had success before in dry conditions so the track conditions should suit.

On the weekend, Western Empire took out the Group 1 Golden Rush over in Western Australia at Ascot Racecourse. It was his 7th win in 15 career starts at the track, so look out for him next time he runs at Ascot. While at Randwick, The Ingham was the feature race of the day and Robusto got the chocolates at huge odds of $27. Hope you had some of that.
