Last start, this horse tried its best but was just not good enough in the end, finishing 4th of 11 at Cranbourne in a Cls 1 over 1200m, 3.2 lengths behind Maximum Power (58kg).But I'm backing it to get into the top three this time or maybe even get the win for punters on Friday. Previously, 2nd of 13 at Geelong BM64 on July 12, 2024 over 1230m. Has enjoyed plenty of success at Geelong with a 100% record of finishing in the top-three. Very good career record in second-up situations.

Last start, beat Diancie (59.5kg) at Cranbourne over 1400m at the starting price of $2.80. That was a good win and I like Evaporate on Friday too, especially with Michael Dee on board from barrier 11. Before that, Evaporate finished first at Ballarat Synthetic in a Mdn on July 14, 2024 over 1100m. Looked good first-up and should be even fitter now. I think its a real genuine each way chance.

Its shown it has the ability to be a serious contender and with a bit more luck and a better trip, it’s got a real shot at taking this one. Previously, 1st of 11 at Canberra Acton Open on July 26, 2024 over 1206m. Has enjoyed plenty of success at Canberra with a 100% record of finishing in the top-three. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.
