Last time out at Moruya, Thoughtful was right up there with the leaders and put in a solid effort. He showed great speed and battled on fairly well. This time, I think it's got a more favourable draw, which should give it a better shot. With that advantage, this horse is definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. In its last start, Thoughtful was 60.5kg and ended up finishing 2nd, behind The Predictor (58kg) over 1210m after being right in the thick of things around the corner. Previously, 1st of 9 at Goulburn Mdn on July 5, 2024 over 1200m. Has a 50% career win rate so it knows how to win. Loves this track, is yet to finish outside the top 3. Previous success running first-up in it's career and should enjoy the racing conditions at Moruya. In winning form, don't look past it.

Nick Heywood was on board last run and won over 1400m at Dubbo. So I think that's a good form guide for Friday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight. Before that, Touch Of Navy finished first at Muswellbrook in a Open on July 29, 2024 over 1280m. Scone stats are excellent, having not finished outside the top 3 yet. Very good career record in second-up situations. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.

In strong form and has good claims to win on Friday. Last start was an almost win, finishing 2nd in a BM70 over 2100m at Ballarat Synthetic. Previously, 3rd of 12 at Pakenham Synthetic BM58 on July 18, 2024 over 2200m. Likes running at Pakenham Synthetic, among the dangers for sure. Likes dry conditions, rates highly. I think its a real genuine each way chance.
