A similar synopsis can be drawn for Castle Road, another horse from an in-form yard and who will be ready for this challenge. It should have the pace to compete over 1000m and is well worth a watch in the market.

Having hit the post hard on its return to action last time out, Divine Belief looks a good one to back here at Ascot. It will be fitter for the run last week and with miles in the legs, it could be very tough to stop.

THE DANGER - Twain's Angel - $3.80
By contrast, Twain's Angel has fallen off the radar a touch, after winning it's first 6 career races. This feels a significant race in terms of the future of this horse and it will be fascinating to see how it goes.

VALUE BET - Celestial Storm - $5.50
It has been a couple of months since Celestial Storm last competed at this level and there is a feeling that it will be better for the rest. There is no question mark about the trip but it won't have much time to get back into its stride over 1000m.

Form in 2024 has been brilliant from Super Smink and this is a huge chance to land a big race. It feels like recent performances have been leading towards this one and it is time to deliver.

Similarly, Attrition has been in superb form this term and it is another genuine contender here. The 1800m trip will be a slight question mark but Attrition comes from good stock and should be able to adapt.

French flyer Light Infantry Man should be bang up for this one, especially after struggling so much last time out. It is mercurial though and could come good at any stage, making it our outside punt of the day here at Ascot.
