The big races continue to come at Canterbury, with a packed winter card offering for all levels of punter. Despite the heavy rainfall and the expected soggy ground, this looks to be a strong card at Canterbury with plenty to get on board with for all punters and horse racing betting apps.

Maiden Plates are unchartered territory for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott and the training duo will want Summer Loving to get off the mark here. Recent signs have been good and this should be the ideal fit here at Canterbury.

THE DANGER – Khaznah – $5.00

In a very similar vein, Ciaron Maher is not a trainer too used to having horses that don't win and he is looking for Khaznah to open their account in this one. This should be a super contest, with Khaznah expected to be firmly in the mix with both putners and betting sites.

VALUE BET – Summer Soiree - $7.50

3-year-old Summer Soiree is a horse that has looked the part in plenty of its previous runs and it certainly represents value here for both punters and betting apps. The soggy ground could be a test but Summer Soiree could be in the hunt.

Having hit the post here at Canterbury just a couple of weeks ago, Monarchs Brae should be firmly in the mix from the off in this one. The Irish flyer is a very good horse and it certainly represents the value option for both punters and betting apps.

Waterhouse and Bott team up again here with The Little Pumper, a horse that knows how to get the job done but who lacks consistency. This should be a good chance for The Little Pumper to bring about a return for both putners and betting sites.

VALUE BET – Hellfire Express - $9.00

Form does look to have left Hellfire Express for the time being, having gone three races without a win but class remains permanent. The ground won't be the ideal fit but Hellfire Express represents the value bet with punters and betting apps.
