THE DANGER - Ang Pow - $4.40
That said, Ang Pow is a winner over course and distance last time out and cannot be discarded. Clearly, this is a tougher field but conditions should be broadly the same and this could be classic encounter.

VALUE BET - Excelladus - $6.00
Most of the other horses in the field will be looking to hang on to the coat tails of the market leaders and Excelladus looks best placed to do just that. Winning this race could be a tall order but Excelladus should be in the hunt.

BEST BET - Perfumist - $3.20
The winning groove has truly been found by Perfumist of late and it looked to be a cut above when winning at Canterbury last time out. Reducing to 1400m will be a test but one that it should pass with flying colours.

THE DANGER - Allapercanto - $5.00
Placings has been all that Allapercanto has been able to muster so far this season but it remains a horse capable of producing a big peformance at any moment and it looks a very good price to be in the mixer.

VALUE BET - Captain Amelia - $5.50
Winning has been in the DNA of Captain Amelia of late too, with back to back wins ahead of this one and it looks to have been a touch overlooked here, making it a real candidate to compete.

With a 100% career placing record, Apex is always very tough to beat and it should come out firing here. It knows its way around the track at Randwick and is the justified market leader in this one.

Similarly, Boston Rocks is a horse in excellent form, who will be relishing the chance to put on a show here. Placing is one thing and winning is another and Boston Rocks will be out to pick up another important triumph here at Randwick.

Albeit at a lower level, the form of Iron Will has been nothing short of excellent of late and this is a chance to step up and make an impact. This is a talented horse, who looks a touch overpriced.
