A horse very much in the winning spirit is Midnight Spirit, who is looking to go back to back in this one. Conditions should suit and whilst it is a step up in class, Midnight Spirit is very capable of challenging.

It has been a frustrating period for Stay Silent, who has struggled to build on plenty of early career promise and is now chasing that elusive first win. This is a real chance though, in a very open maiden plate.

VALUE BET - Iconify - $7.00
Ciaron Maher puts his hat into the ring with Iconify and it should also be in the running. Maiden plates such as this always present a chance and Iconify is more than capable in this field.

It has been the best part of 12 months since Derry Grove has been racing and it will be fascinating to see how it goes here. Form and fitness are the key question marks but on potential, Derry Grove could compete here.
