Wednesday Racing Tips - Canterbury Racecourse 20/11/2024

BEST BET - #10 - Joyner - (BEST BET)
Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 9 in the BM64 at Hawkesbury on October 24. That race was over 1100m on a good track and it came in 0.3 lengths behind Ellipsis (56kg). Definitely among the winning chances. In fantastic form and I hope that the momentum keeps on going.

THE DANGER - #3 - Up To Mischief
It hit the track on May 11 and Up To Mischief put in a solid effort, finishing 7th out of 11. Wednesday's race sees some good odds to have a crack, I think. With Nash Rawiller on board, that gives me confidence too.

VALUE BET - #7 - Not That Easy
Last run was a 5th finish at Rosehill over 1100m in a BM78. But, I think Not That Easy could run well here from barrier 2. Looking at its track record, I like the trend of winning form when it is racing here.

BEST BET - #2 - Cormac T - (NEXT BEST)
Last race at Wyong, Cormac T was right up there in the finish, just placing second. He showed some speed and battled on fairly well. In this race, I think it's got another suitable draw, which should make it tough to beat. In its last start, Cormac T (59kg) ended up placing 2nd, just behind Oakfield Hawk (60kg) over 2130m and was right up there. That should be a good form guide for this race and I think it could easily get the win this time. Wet track form reads well too, it has usually raced well when the track is like this.

THE DANGER - #5 - Maximum Dividend
I like the form of Maximum Dividend for Race 5 at Canterbury on Wednesday. Won at Wyong over 1630m on October 31. In great form and I hope that the trend keeps up.

VALUE BET - #6 - Lucky Bay
Last race was a 3rd place finish at Kembla Grange over 1600m. It could be dangerous if it gets a nice run.

BEST BET - #12 - Private Harry
Last start, beat Lady Memphis (55.5kg) at Newcastle over 900m at the starting price of $1.55. That was a good win and I like Private Harry on Wednesday too, especially with Ashley Morgan on board from Barrier 1. Seems like it should run well and should be a solid bet for punters.

THE DANGER - #3 - Jambalaya
Back from a spell and has won before first-up. So he likes running after a break. From the Godolphin stable and gets a nice barrier draw.

VALUE BET - #8 - Midnight Dynamite
Midnight Dynamite usually loves running on soft tracks, highlighted by winning 2 of 3 in these track conditions. Also won at this distance in his only try and comes off a nice win at Nowra.

Some thrilling results came out of the world of horse racing last weekend. Another Prophet stormed away in the Thousand Guineas to defeat the field at eye-catching odds of $34 down the straight, while Kimochi got home to beat Another Wil in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes. In The Hunter, Briasa was dominant, making it six wins from seven starts, while jockey Tyler Schiller's winning run continued.

While the Spring Racing Carnival is drawing to a close, this Saturday remains chock full of interest and Group 1 races 2024 action.
