Rockabottle loves running fresh and I think he’ll be dangerous as he comes back from a spell. He finished first last time he was first-up at Sale over 1400m. The track conditions should suit it nicely too.

THE DANGER - #1 - Intrepid Eagle
Finished second last start with Tom Madden on board at Donald. At the distance of 1200m, Intrepid Eagle has been impressive and could easily take this race.

VALUE BET - #6 - Social Conscience
Last start, finished 3rd of 13 at Bairnsdale in a BM58 over 1200m, just 1.5 lengths behind Shooter McGavin (58.5kg) carrying 60.5kg at $3.50. Should get a good run from this barrier, watch it in the straight.

In strong form and has good claims to win on Wednesday. Last start was an almost win, finishing 2nd in a Cls 1 over 1300m at Bendigo. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.

THE DANGER - #4 - Loafer
In its last race at Kyneton on November 18, it came out on top with a winning margin of 1.0 lengths. It was carrying 59kg and held off Judge Kellie (60.5kg), which was pretty good to watch at $2.70 odds. So, it's looking in good touch for this race. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.

VALUE BET - #1 - Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick has been impressive this prep with a win last start at Ballarat over 1200m. Also, 2nd before that at Mornington over 1000m. Could be dangerous third-up and racing very well.

In the recent outing for Roadcone at Caulfield Heath, it came in third, not far behind the leaders. Now that he's fitter, he's got a solid chance of finishing in the top three again. I think Luke Nolen knows how to handle Roadcone too.

THE DANGER - #12 - The Jester's Son
Rarely lets you down. The Jester's Son has placed in 7 of his 9 career starts. He also gets Blake Shinn in the saddle for the first time on Wednesday. Loves the distance of 1500m, having won before over this trip. Could easily win this.

VALUE BET - #10 - Presser
In strong form and has good claims to win on Wednesday. The last start was an almost win, finishing 2nd in a BM72 over 1533m at Morphettville. Looks like a perfect bet for punters.

The track is looking in nice condition after plenty of rain in Victoria recently and there shouldn’t be any rain around the area on Wednesday, a nice & sunny 22 degrees. There are races at Warwick Farm too, a key mid-week track in Australia. It’s just a small 6 race card but there should be plenty of best bets to back.
