Wednesday Racing Tips - Caulfield Heath Racecourse 20/11/2024

For my Wednesday racing tips at Caulfield Heath, I've got a best bet of the day that can't miss, as well as some roughies to watch out for.

BEST BET - #8 - Dramaticus - (BEST BET)
In its last race on November 10 at Ararat, he surged to the front, winning by 0.1 lengths. He carried 59kg and managed to beat Kings Valley (59kg), which was quite impressive, especially at $4.80 odds. So, it's definitely in top form right now.

THE DANGER - #9 - Howlin' Rain
In its recent race at Bendigo, Howlin' Rain came in third, not too far behind 1st and 2nd. After that run, it should have a good chance of running a place in this race. Carleen Hefel is in good form and should be able to get a good run. Not a lot of queries with this one.

VALUE BET - #2 - Hooah Havana
Last race, Hooah Havana was 6th out of 16 at Flemington on November 7 on a good track over 1600m, 1.5 lengths behind Electric Impulse (56.5kg) with 55kg at $21.00. But it should improve here.

BEST BET - #4 - Divine Thoughts - (NEXT BEST)
The last run for this horse was a good one, it had a nice run and beat the field. This horse just knows how to win. With Luke Nolen on board, this horse should get another favourable run and could get the win again. I think it's a real genuine each way chance.

THE DANGER - #8 - Changing Colours
Ready to hit peak form now. Came 2nd last start at Ballarat with J Moreira in the saddle and should be in the mix.

VALUE BET - #5 - Dane On Tour
Last time out at Sale, Dane On Tour was right up there with the leaders and put in a solid effort. He showed great speed and battled on fairly well. This time, I think it's got a more favourable draw, which should give it a better shot. With that advantage, this horse is definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. Should get a good run from this barrier, watch it in the straight.

BEST BET - #4 - San Marino
Jockey Daniel Stackhouse has an impressive on board with 2 wins in 4 starts and placed in the other race. He comes off a tough race at Flemington but was in great form before that, wining at Pakenham and Sale in different track conditions. Should be tough to beat here.

THE DANGER - #10 - Makena 
Won at Randwick a few months on a good track and could be dangerous on Wednesday. Decent barrier draw and Jye Mcneil has rode her before.

VALUE BET - #1 - Ruminate
In good form having placed in 3 straight races. He comes off a 3rd at Bendigo in good conditions and before that, he also finished 3rd at Hamilton. Jockey Ryan Houston has finished 1st and 2nd on board this runner so they have formed a good combo thus far. Good odds to have a crack.

Some thrilling results came out of the world of horse racing last weekend. Another Prophet stormed away in the Thousand Guineas to defeat the field at eye-catching odds of $34 down the straight, while Kimochi got home to beat Another Wil in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes. In The Hunter, Briasa was dominant, making it six wins from seven starts, while jockey Tyler Schiller's winning run continued.
