BEST BET - #4 - She's A Rogue - (NEXT BEST)
She’s a rogue was sent back to the paddock just under 3 months ago after placing in both runs this prep. Trialled nicely 2 weeks ago here over this distance and has good splits from this prep just racing a bit greenly before then. Finds a soft field and better for the experience here, should be in the finish and I put her on top. 

VALUE BET - #3 - Omilana 
Omilana comes into this on debut and racing for the extremely prominent Gollan stable. Has come into this prepared off the back of two trials and gets in light compared to the weight that he rode in those trials, placing in both of them. Gollan may have just been saving him for this end of year run to move onto bigger and better next year.
 
THE DANGER - #5 - Sugacane Champagne 
Sugacane Champagane is on debut here, coming off two nice trials at gold coast when winning the initial outing and then trialling nicely behind a solid tempo and showing quite a bit of talent there in the last 400m and I think she poses the main danger to She’s A rogue in this.

BEST BET - #11 - Stuck In A Dream - $3.90
Stuck in a dream looks like he’s been extremely prepared for this, coming off a long 42 week spell and has trialled four times for this at the gold coast showing a bunch of early speed and should be fit coming into this. My query is the good going and that he has raced a bit greenly in the past but I think he has a bigger chance here than the odds suggest.  

VALUE BET - #7 - Nano Star
I have been following Nano Star this prep and I can’t lie it has been expensive to do so. He has placed 3 times in 3 runs and looked the winner in 2 of those when just being hit hard late or running into smart types. Should be rock hard fit now and I think the stable chose this race carefully to try pick up a win before a spell into the new year. 

THE DANGER - #3 - Bean Groovy 
Dunn and Mallyon combine on Bean Groovy who is making her debut at the races at Eagle Farm. I trust the stable to have her quite prepared off the two trials going into this and with the soft draw, prominent jockey/stable combo and decent weight I think that this will be a close run race between her and Stuck in a dream

BEST BET - #4 - Avolonte - (BEST BET)
Avolonte won last time out after a short 3 week break from the races and showed a lot of talent and speed there over the 1100m. He looks rock hard fit for this and maps to get a similar run in transit, the extra 100 metres suits and he looks a good shot to go back to back here. 

VALUE BET - #5 - Royal Exit 
Royal Exit is coming to the end of his prep however has been running well, with a win and 2 placings in 5 runs. He looks to still be fit as both of those placings were at his last 2 outings and looked to be the winner last time out but manners cost him the race when just laying out in the straight. I think that if the manners are right this time and the Stable has him on his best behaviour he takes this out with the claim and soft draw.

THE DANGER - #6 - Paradise Island 
Paradise Island won last time out over the 1100m on slightly softer going than this when just drawing clear of the field late for a smart win as an odds on favourite. Looks to have a lot of talent placing in all other runs this campaign but comes to the end of his prep now which is a concern. However, he does look to have found his stride here and shouldn’t find this race any harder, the step up in distance looks suited and he goes on top.

The best Jockey in the North, James Orman, I have stuck with before many times and will stick with him again. He knows this track well, has a great strike rate here and has been pulling a few slick winners from some common stables in the last few weeks.
