Wednesday Racing Tips - Randwick Racecourse 15/05/2024

Massive day of racing on Wednesday at Randwick-Kensington and I have done the form to give you the best betting tips for a punt! Keep in mind, the track is rated a heavy 9 on Wednesday so I've focused on runners that usually love the wet conditions. Let's get into the tips!

BEST BET - #3 - Need Some Luck

He's making a comeback after saluting at Warwick Farm first-up last time, so he's definitely got some potential. Plus, he's untested in the wet, which could work in his favour.

THE DANGER - #1 - Franz Josef

This undefeated galloper is coming back fresh after a win at Randwick first-up last time, so he's definitely got some momentum behind him. With Nash Rawiller on board for the first time and a solid record first-up, Franz Josef could definitely give Need Some Luck a run for his money.

VALUE BET - #7 - Captain Furai

He rode confidently and got the job done at Newcastle on debut, showing he's got some real talent. Plus, with James Mcdonald in the saddle and trained by Chris Waller, Captain Furai could have a real shot at making an impact in this race.

BEST BET - #4 - Cable Express
Although he made the running, he couldn't quite hold off the challengers at Wagga last time. But don't count him out just yet. With Danny Beasley on board, who's had three career starts with Cable Express and hasn't finished outside the top three yet.

THE DANGER - #3 - Jacob's Time

He's coming off a bit of a wet run at Randwick last time, but with a bit of rest, he could bounce back nicely. Keep an eye on him, especially considering his expected settling position is pace.

VALUE BET - #11 - She's Got Veuve

She may have settled handy and battled on to fill the minors last time out, but she's got some real potential here. Plus, she's shown she can handle heavy conditions, finishing second in two career starts.

It's his debut in Australia after being with John Joseph Murphy, so he's a bit of a wild card here. But hey, he's got a decent first-up record with a second and a third from two career starts. 

THE DANGER - #13 - Franz Josef

Now, onto the danger, Franz Josef. This unbeaten gelding is making a comeback and has a winning streak under his belt. He kicked off last season with a win at Randwick first-up, so we can expect him to be right up there from a decent draw. 

VALUE BET - #4 - Rhythm Of Love

And for our value bet, it's Rhythm Of Love. This horse put in a solid effort at Rosehill last time out, showing some real potential. Plus, with Nash Rawiller in the saddle, who's already scored a win with Rhythm Of Love back in February at Canterbury, there's some real confidence behind this pick.

Tommy Sherry has four runners at Randwick on Wednesday that I'm keen to watch. In Race 1, you have Megastar Heart as the current favourite and should go close. Star Impact in Race 5 is another one to watch, especially with an excellent record in heavy conditions.
