The Eagle Farm racetrack is a singular, large sweeping course with 4 major turns, however they are notoriously known to be soft turns and as such provides all runners with a solid chance at winning, giving no major bias to particular barriers. The little barrier bias and long, wide straight generally presents as a good opportunity for backmarkers.

Eagle Farm track follows the same format as Randwick, following clockwise where runners go from right to left up the home straight. The Racecourse itself is about 2,207 metres and 28 metres wide, the home stretch of the Brisbane Racecourse is 434 metres, making it one of the longest in the Country.
The Eagle farm course proper is the only track at the racecourse, however, as mentioned earlier there are internal facilities at the track that allow trainers to refine and improve the performances of their horses all year round.
These training facilities include the Grass Track, an American Dirt Track (wood fibre & sand composite), a Sand Track and Cinders (for slow pace-work). Eagle Farm Racecourse is home stable to over 200 horses and some of the primary trainers in the country such as Anderson Racing, and Barry Baldwin Racing Stables.
Eagle Farm Race Track Starting Positions
1000m: The start is located in a chute on the back right hand corner of the track, oriented from the grandstands. Runners run out onto the short side straight of the eagle farm track as they curve around a somewhat constant bend of the corner into the wide long home straight, runners are not really subject to much bias due to the width and size of the straight.
1200m: Similar to the 1000m, however runners start just behind the chute, positioning them just behind the penultimate corner of the course. As this is considered sprint distance, the factor of two turns does create a bias for inside runners that is somewhat negated in the home stretch but definitely worth noting.
1400m: The 1400 is positioned just behind the 1200, on the “kink” of eagle farm racecourse, where the running is essentially straight with a slight change in angle until runners hit the penultimate turn. As such, runners on the inside are provided favourably with slight bias, similar to the 1200m.
1600m: The 1600 starts just in front of the back left corner of the racecourse, the bias that is instantiated in the 1200 and 1400m is largely negated here as runners traverse the entire back straight of the course before hitting any turns. However, analysis has shown runners largely come from inside barrier 8
1800m: The jumping stalls are placed in the middle of the two left hand corners of the Brisbane racecourse, runners jump out onto the first turn and run the remainder of the course, i.e. back straight, two corners and home straight. Bias is largely non-existent once runners get to these distances.
2200m / 2400m: These two distances start just in front of the home corner of the track, runners jump out just in front of the Public Stand and run through the home post and around the circumference of the track. Bias, again, is largely negated at these distances but runners have been seen to come from inside barrier 10.
