It was a great weekend in horse racing betting as we are well underway into the Group 1 races season and my Saturday tips went quite solidly across the Aussie betting sites as we picked up a few winners even if our best bets tips didn’t go so well. Our exotics tips also went quite nicely and this article focuses on some follows from the Group 1 races at Randwick racecourse this past weekend and then also look at Amelia’s Jewels future prospects moving forward after her Group 1 win this past Friday and finally take a look at Kah and Dee’s domination on Stakes day.

Blackbookers from Randwick Racecourse

It was a huge weekend in horse racing betting as usually is the case on Group 1 races days and whilst there were a bunch of very smart winners we also found that some who may have gone under the radar have been set up for big wins next time they step out to racing and whilst I plan on having a few of them in my Horse racing tips I am keen to run through a few follows I have for Horse racing betting prior to my Saturday Tips.

R5 - RAVELLO

Ravello is a very smart John O’Shea-trained horse who didn't have too much to go his way this past Saturday but still found the line very well in defeat in the Dulcify Stakes this past weekend. I think he has been set up for longer and this run was a bridging run so watch for when he next steps out in my Saturday tips, which I likely think will be in the Spring Champion.

R8 - KOVALICA

We had Kovalica in out Saturday racing tips after he produced an ordinary effort he stepped out in the Epsom Handicap and ran so strongly behind Rediener. Chris Waller has already suggested the Cox Plate is on the card moving forward and I can’t see this horse going badly in that race so watch for him in my Horse racing tips again.

R9 - JUST FINE

Our best bets of the day in my Randwick Saturday tips and best bets tips saluted in dominant fashion for the Waterhouse / Bott stable despite him not beating a strong field the manner in which he did was outstanding and the time’s were great. He will be winning some more Group 1 races this season.

Amelia’s Jewel next spring start revealed

I waited a long time to see the Perth star Amelia’s Jewel come across to the eastern coast and she has been brilliant since doing so. Peter Walsh has confirmed on the weekend that the Toorak Handicap in a fortnight will be the next target race for the star horse so watch for her in my Saturday tips next weekend.

Damian Lane has ridden her past two victories and will likely be retaining the ride off the back of the Group two Stock's Stakes at The Valley last Friday night and that really affirmed their decision.

"We're definitely going to the Toorak, I spoke to Simon (Miller) a few minutes ago, so that's locked in," Walsh said.

They say that as long as they don’t get too much weight they will be on their way with her to Caulfield. Tab has since brought her quote in to around $2.20 in the pre-nominations for the Toorak handicap.

She is one of my favourite runners in the country right now and I will be sure to thoroughly cover her prospects in my Saturday tips when she next steps out to racing.

Jamie Kah and Michael Dee dominate stakes day

Both Jamie Kah and Michael Dee had outstanding Saturday’s in the Group 1 races that took place this past Sunday with respective doubles.

Kah took out the first two winner on Wishlor Lass and Hedged whilst Dee took out a race with Carina Queen before claiming the Group 1 Thousand Guineass on Rheinberg in a peach of a run.

Rheinberg had to catch the well in front leader Faretti and also had to fend off the challengers late to make it four wins in a row on the bounce with the last three coming under Dee’s steering.

"He's not winning by any real margins but he's getting the job done, he's flying and I'm sure everything will continue," Dee said.

"He shows tremendous gate speed, flies the gates and puts himself up on speed, when you go for him he gives a good kick.

Notably, The Freedmans also took a big win under Ain’tnodeeldun to make it back to back wins for the horse that will earn her a shot at the Group 3 JRA Cup at the end of this month at The Valley. I will be covering the prospects of that horse in my Saturday tips when the time comes so watch for those horse racing tips on the 27/10.
