Melbourne Racing Club Chief Executive Josh Blanksby has stepped down. He held the position for 10 years. Blanksby will officially leave his post on August 31. This move comes days after Racing Victoria announced their new CEO.

Three-year-old gelding Warmonger won the G1 Queensland Derby by an astonishing 10-½ lengths this Saturday. The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr-trained horse came into the race with $10 odds. The Queensland Derby is the third straight race Warmonger has placed in.

Bella Nipotina scored her second Group 1 win on Saturday with an impressive win in the Doomben 10,000. The six-year-old mare started slow, before pulling out the victory late on. Trainer Ciaron Maher expressed great pride in the performance.
