On Friday, we head to Swan Hill for a roughie in Race 7 over 1200m. Good weather is predicted for race day and the track is a soft 6, which could upgrade to a 4 or 5 in the afternoon. While in Albury, the track is a soft 7 and there's also no rain expected to impact racing. I'm looking at a best bet in Race 6 to win at Albury on a back to back. Let's get into it!

Best Roughie: Fancify #10 Swan Hill R7

In his last race on May 11 at Caulfield, he surged to the front, winning by 1.5 lengths. He carried 54.5kg and managed to beat In Her Stride (55.5kg), which was quite impressive, especially at $4.80 odds. So, it's definitely in top form right now. Before that, Fancify finished first at Morphettville Parks in a BM72 on April 20, 2024 over 1250m, winning by 1.8L and beating Costless (54kg). Really good value odds at PlayUp, Chasebet and Questbet to give the favourite (Press Down) a run for it's money in this race.

Stats and Insights

Runners that draw inside have an advantage over most barriers at Albury racecourse.
The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.
There's no Friday night racing so focus on Swan Hill and Albury meetings during the afternoon to end the weekend.
