Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 18/10/24

Follow along with me for the best free horse racing tips on race day! Friday's racing action takes us to Pakenham and Taree and I have found a best bet for you at betting sites in Australia. There's also a juicy roughie to get on board. Roadcone has caught my eye in Race 5 at Pakenham. Meanwhile, my roughie of the day is Prime Impact at Taree in Race 7. At Pakenham, the track is rated a soft 6 at this stage so look for runners that like to run on a soft track. At Taree on Friday the track is rated a heavy 9 so keep that on your mind when placing bets. Let's get into it!

Ready to hit peak form now. Came 2nd last start at Benalla with Carleen Hefel in the saddle. Previously, 1st of 6 at Pakenham Cls 1 on May 9, 2024 over 1400m. Roadcone hasn’t let his punters down in his career thus far and I like the look of this field. He’s also won at the track / distance before. The advantage of apprentice claim helps as well.

Last start, beat Our Bambino (61kg) at Port Macquarie over 1800m at the starting price of $2.70. That was a good win and I like Prime Impact on Friday too, especially with Dylan Gibbons on board from Barrier 8. Before that, Prime Impact finished second at Kempsey in a BM82 on September 19, 2024, over 1900m. Very good record at the track, watch out for it on Friday. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.

After another exciting weekend of racing, it’s time to go again this weekend and we have a bumper Saturday ahead of ourselves. In Victoria, it’s all about the Caulfield Cup, one of the most popular races in the Spring Racing Carnival. Make sure you check our Caulfield tips this week. Meanwhile, in Sydney at Randwick Racecourse, we’ll have four Group Ones - including The Everest - the richest race in Australia. There is also The Kosciuszko (1,200m), The Silver Eagle (1,300m) and King Charles III Stakes (1,600m) to watch on Saturday.
