Last race, A Little Deep ran a place (2nd) at Caulfield over 1200m with Mark Zahra on board, just finishing behind the winner (Aviatress (56kg)). Should get a lot of confidence from that run and should be a good bet again. Previously, 2nd of 15 at Caulfield Open on September 21, 2024 over 1200m. Has enjoyed plenty of success at Flemington with a 100% record of finishing in the top three. Distance shouldn't be an issue either, loves running 1100m. Has had success before in dry conditions so the track conditions should suit. In winning form, don't look past it for an each-way bet.

It has been noted by stewards and sharp punters recently that being on pace and close to the rail has been the best place/places to be at Rosehill in recent times, a track that is known to change every couple months in terms of bias so take good note of that.

Flemington's long straight track can sometimes favour horses drawn towards the inside or outside of the track, depending on the rail position and prevailing track conditions. Betting on horses that suit the current track bias can be advantageous.

The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.
