Best Tip: Gold Dust #12 Wyong R7

Last time out at Hawkesbury, Gold Dust was right up there with the leaders and put in a solid effort. He showed great speed and battled on fairly well. This time, I think he's got a more favourable draw, which should give him a better shot. With that advantage, he's definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. In his last start, Gold Dust was 58.5kg and ended up finishing 2nd, behind Nightingale (59.5kg) over 1100m after being right in the thick of things around the corner. Previously, 5th of 9 at Randwick Barrier Trial-Open on June 28, 2024 over 1050m. Very good career record in second-up situations. In winning form, don't look past it.

Best Roughie: Crazy Eyed Fred #4 Gatton R8

Previously, it finished 5th of 12 at Kilcoy in a RST55 on July 9, 2024 over 1200m, 2.8 lengths behind Freakshake (59kg). Before that, 2nd of 5 at Deagon Barrier Trial-Class 3 on June 11, 2024 over 1200m. Likes running at Gatton, among the dangers for sure. Also, has placed twice at the distance and has won twice on soft tracks in 7 starts. So I think it can run a place.
