Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 22/10/24

On Tuesday, the racing continues with some expected quality races at Grafton and Kyneton. I like the look of Khamis at Grafton in Race 7. Meanwhile, my roughie of the day is Armalite at Kyneton in Race 8. Let's get into it!

In its first race on October 1 at Grafton, he surged to the front, winning by 5.8 lengths. He carried 53.5kg and managed to beat Preachabull (57kg), which was quite impressive, especially on debut. I think this is another race that should suit Khamis. She should enjoy a good run from Barrier 8 and won at this track last time out.

Just finished behind the places in its last start, finishing 4th out of 9 on March 17. So I think it can improve after that run and should be fitter here. Previously, 1st of 12 at Yarra Glen RST58 on February 10, 2024 over 1500m. Kyneton stats are excellent, having not finished outside the top 3 yet. Loves the distance and I hope that continues over the 1469m, has won 3 of 6 career starts. Also, enjoys running first-up as Armalite has won twice in his career.

It was another epic week of racing last week with some big upsets in the Group 1 races on Saturday. The highlights were Duke De Sessa took out the Caulfield Cup on the weekend and Bella Nipotina won a nail-biter in The Everest. This Saturday is Cox Plate day at Moonee Valley Racecourse and Prognosis is the current favourite.
