Friday racing returns to Coffs Harbour racecourse and Ipswich racecourse as we lead into the Spring Group 1 races and we look to pick up some more lucrative bets to lead us into my Saturday tips for this weekend. I have posted full length articles on both the tracks that can found in Wednesday Tips on our website and then have additionally taken my best bet and best outside chance of the day and put them into my Best Bets tips article with insights and the best promotions going around on the Aussie betting sites / betting apps and in this article we curate exotics bets, centred around my most confident bets of the day in an effort to pick up some more lucrative winners. The article below features three different tips for three different track and I am hoping to compliment our Friday Tips quite nicely if even one of the bets comes through. Best Exotic Tips of the Day | August 4
Quinella - Coffs Harbour - R1
1st: 4, 8
2nd: 4, 6, 7, 8
This is my best bet overall for the day at Coffs Harbour and you can find my full reasoning in my Friday Tips article for the course and as to why I think there are a few key chances who will fill the second poll of this race but I have chosen to go with an exacta as I think third place could be dicey in this race.
Exacta - Coffs Harbour - R7
1st: 11, 12
2nd: 11, 12, 7, 6
This is a bit of a longshot here but we have a Saturday race in disguise in the feature of the day at Coffs Harbour racecourse and I have made the #11 my next best bet of the day at the course but I do think between him and the second line of betting it’s going to be a close race and I think one or two others who come from the same formlines will fill the placings. You will likely see some of these in my Saturday Tips soon!
Trifecta - Ipswich - R7
1st: 2, 4
2nd: 2, 4, 7, 8
3rd: 3, 7, 8, 9
You will find my full reasoning for these selections in my best bets tips and Friday tips for Ipswich but I have included my roughie of the day in all the lines of betting in the trifecta as if he salutes it would be a very lucrative payout but also included the first few lines of betting and another outside chance.

- Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
- 50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
- More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
- A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two
