The Autumn Group 1 races season is approaching it’s peak this weekend with massive Group 1 races in NSW and VIC this weekend and we lead into things with two very nice Friday cards to lead us in at Yarra Glen racecourse and Cranbourne racecourse. I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. In addition to my Friday tips there is also a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

It’s going to be a big day of racing with bumper cards set for Yarra Glen racecourse and Cranbourne racecourse. We are looking to pick up some more lucrative bets and as usual I am continuing the strategy that has been having success in focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off so lets get stuck back into things so follow me below for another solid day of exotics betting below!

My next best bet of the day here at Yarra Glen in the #2 who I think is the leading contender in the get out at Yarra Glen tomorrow but he will have to roll another smart horse who is favourite right now, the #3. Exacta at 833% @ Playup (Best of three totes)

2nd: 3, 4, 5, 10

My best bet of the day steps out in this race at Yarra Glen and I think he’s a very good chance of getting up here but this is the feature race of the day and it’s going to be very competitive, I think that all of my selections are winning chances and it makes this a great betting race for this type of exacta. Exacta at 414% @ Punterspal (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Cranbourne - R8

1st: 2

2nd: 3, 4, 5

We have been going very well with this type of exotic bet, hitting back hard on a couple close misses by winning in the listed racing this past weekend at Rosehill and I am keen to keep things going here. Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
