Group 1 races are back this weekend! And what a weekend it looks set to be in horse racing betting and I cannot wait for Saturday morning to come around. I have posted extensive Saturday Tips that go in depth into each of the major tracks that are hosting listed racing tomorrow and in addition to those horse racing tips there is also a best bets tips article posted on our site which has the best promotions and track insights for tomorrow as well as my overall best bet and best outside chance of the day. In this article we look to pick up some bigger odds bets in conjunction with my horse racing tips and I am keen on our strategy of focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off with our Wednesday tips having one of the three exotics tips come in and it was a big payout as it was with my roughie of the day from the best bets tips. Best Exotic Tips of the Day | September 2nd
Exacta - Randwick - R7
1st: 8, 9
2nd: 1, 5, 8, 9
The #8 is my roughie of the day at Randwick tomorrow and whilst I am really keen on his chances I think the #9 is the leading contender in this race and is also at a nice price. I think the most likely exacta is [8,9] in any order and as such have also thrown in the other runners I favour from my Saturday Tips into Second. Exacta - Caulfield - R2
1st: 2, 14
2nd: 2, 12, 13, 14
The #2 is my best bet of the day at Caulfield and I think that he is going to go out there and surprise some punters that are backing the shorter favourite in the #14 and you can see my full reasoning in my Saturday Tips at the course but in case I have read things wrong I have put them both in the first line of betting and then the other key chances in the second.
Exacta - Eagle Farm - R6
1st: 4, 11
2nd: 4, 11, 7
Standout exacta here with my best of the day at Eagle Farm in my Saturday Tips being the #4 and if you check out the article you will see the #11 is his stablemate and they are almost even in lines of betting. - Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
- 50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
- More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
- A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two
