Exotic Tips of the Day

Our strategy paid off with our exotics tips yesterday with two from three of our exotics bets hitting yesterday with one of the payouts being a near 11x payout and I am keen to keep the ball rolling with our Saturday Tips on the site where I will build some exotics bets around my best plays of the day as we lead into the Group 1 races season. This is my best bet overall for the day and for Eagle Farm racecourse, being the #3, and I have full reasoning in my Saturday Tips for Eagle Farm and Best bets tips but I think that there are some double figure odds horses who can make their way into second place and that would make our payout extremely lucrative. Keen on this.

Exacta at 1250% @ Playup (Best of three totes)

Trifecta - Rosehill - R1

1st: 1, 2

2nd: 1, 2

3rd: 4, 8, 3, 5

The #1 is the second line of betting favourite and I think that him and the #2 are the standout quinella here but I also think that there are a few at big prices who can surprise here and make their way into third at nice prices. Particularly keen on the #1 though, with full reasoning in my Saturday Tips for Rosehill.

Exacta at 625% @ Palmerbet (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Moonee Valley - R7

1st: 2, 5

2nd: 2, 5, 7, 1

The #2 is my best bet of the day in my Saturday tips as Moonee Valley and whilst I think that he rates a ways in front of this field I also think that the #5 is a key winning chance and I reckon one of those wins and if the other doesn’t fire then the #7 and #1 will be right there flying home.

Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form.
