Jimmysstar: Last race at Flemington, Jimmysstar was right up there in the finish, just placing second. He showed some speed and battled on fairly well. In this race, I think it's got another suitable draw, which should make it tough to beat. In its last start, Jimmysstar (56kg) ended up placing 2nd, just behind Another Wil (57.5kg) over 1400m and was right up there. That should be a good form guide for this race and I think it could easily get the win this time.

Another Wil: With Jamie Kah on board last start, won at Flemington (1400m). So hopefully that form continues into Saturday's race. On Saturday, Jamie Kah is back in the saddle and she is looking for an 8th win in 9 starts on board this runner. He loves this track with 3 wins in 4 starts and the distance too.

Southport Tycoon: Has looked good this prep and usually runs well on these types of tracks. The distance should suit and he has placed twice at this track.

War Machine: Last start, War Machine was 8th of 20 at Rosehill on November 2 over 1500m on a good track, 3.1 lengths behind Lake Forest (56.5kg) with 57.5kg at $71.00. But it should improve here.

Alabama State: In its last race, Alabama State was 4th at Rosehill on November 2 over 1500m, just 0.9 lengths behind Piraeus (60kg). This should be another race where I think it can potentially improve and get over the field.

Althoff: At Randwick on October 26, Althoff finished 5th out of 9, while carrying 57kg at $14.00 odds.

Snitzanova: Zac Lloyd was on board last run and won over 1400m at Randwick-Kensington. So I think that's a good form guide for Saturday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight.

French Ruler: He is showing impressive form early on in his career. Thus far, he has not finished outside the top 2 in 3 career starts. Nash Rawiller gets the ride for the first time and his experience should give it an extra boost. Undefeated at the track too.

Kerchak: Coming off a win at Eagle Farm and has raced well in his career so far. He has 7 wins in 14 starts. Also, he has placed at this track before and should be in the mix.

Poetic Drama: Last race, Poetic Drama ran a place (2nd) at Doomben over 1600m with A Mallyon on board, just finishing behind the winner (Living Free (52.5kg)). Should get a lot of confidence from that run and should be a good bet again.

Junipal: I like the form of Junipal for Race 8 at Sunshine Coast on Saturday. Won at Eagle Farm over 1830m on October 19.

Brookhaven: It's shown it has the ability to be a serious contender and with a bit more luck and a better trip, it’s got a real shot at taking this one.
