Exotic Tips of the Day

The Group 1 races season is in full tilt with massive listed racing again tomorrow and I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. In addition to my Saturday tips there is also a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

It’s going to be a big day of racing with bumper cards set for Caulfield racecourse, Newcastle racecourse and the Sunshine Coast racecourse with massive group 1 races at Caulfield and listed races at Newcastle. We are looking to pick up some more lucrative bets and as usual I am continuing the strategy that has been having success in focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off so lets get stuck back into things so follow me below for another solid day of exotics betting below!

My best bet of the day here at Caulfield and I think that whilst Coeur Volante is the leading contender here (#2) that the joint favourite Sky Bird has a very solid chance of winning and they both are at nice prices so this should pay well either way. Exacta at 833% @ Playup (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Newcastle - R7

1st: 2, 3, 9, 14
2nd: 2, 3, 9, 14

Very competitive race here at Newcastle and my roughie of the day is the #14, also in my best bets tips. I am taking this position as a kind of hedge against that as all my other selections come up at nice prices and I am backing two of them to fill the exacta. Exacta at 414% @ Punterspal (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Sunshine Coast - R8

1st: 4
2nd: 1, 3, 5

Best bet of the day here at the Sunshine Coast and I am doubling down on the #4 to get the money here, he seems to have the perfect set up for an assignment like this and I am keen to see how he goes, other selections in for second place. Full write up in my Saturday tips at Sunshine Coast.

Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

# Today's Tip

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
