Exotic Tips of the Day

The Group 1 races season is in full tilt with massive listed racing again tomorrow and I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. In addition to my Friday tips there is also a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

It’s going to be a big day of racing with a listed race at Randwick racecourse and of course the feature race of the day across all cards, the Caulfield Cup, one of the premier group 1 races of the season. There’s also a big support card at Eagle Farm racecourse and we are looking to pick up some more lucrative bets and as usual I am continuing the strategy that has been having success in focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off so lets get stuck back into things so follow me below for another solid day of exotics betting below!

Exacta - Eagle Farm - R3

1st: 2, 6

2nd: 2, 3, 4, 6

My next best bet of the day at Eagle Farm here and whilst I think the #6 is a good thing going, both him and the other joint favourite are at nice prices and I do think one of them wins so this will pay well either way. Full write up in my free horse racing tips at the course.

1st: 1, 2, 6, 8

2nd: 1, 2, 6, 8

I generally stay away from exotics betting in the feature races / group 1 races but I do think that the winner and runner up likely emerges from my top four picks for the Cauflield Cup and as generally is the nature with these big races it would be a great payout. Exacta at 414% @ Punterspal (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Randwick - R1

1st: 8

2nd: 2, 3, 6

Best bet of the day here at Randwick and I do find it tough to see anything being able to roll this smart Waterhouse / Bott debutant. I have included those from my Saturday Tips at Randwick who I think out of the three are the most likely to make this a race with him.

Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
