Exotic Tips of the Day

The Group 1 races season is in full tilt with massive listed racing again tomorrow and I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. In addition to my Saturday tips there is also a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

It’s going to be a big day of racing with a listed race at Randwick racecourse and Moonee Valley racecourse with the feature race of the day across all cards, the Cox Plate, one of the premier group 1 races of the season. There’s also a big support card at Eagle Farm racecourse and we are looking to pick up some more lucrative bets and as usual I am continuing the strategy that has been having success in focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off so lets get stuck back into things so follow me below for another solid day of exotics betting below!

Exacta - Doomben - R1

1st: 1, 5

2nd: 1, 2, 5, 6

My next best bet of the day at Doomben here and whilst I think the #5 is a smart horse who we have had success on before, the #1 has come up at a decent price and is my only real key danger here. 1st: 1, 3, 5, 11

2nd: 1, 3, 5, 11

I generally stay away from exotics betting in the feature races / group 1 races but I do think that the winner and runner up likely emerges from my top four picks for the Cox Plate and we had success with this in the Caulfield Cup. Full write up in my Saturday Tips at Moonee Valley.

Exacta - Randwick - R1

1st: 2

2nd: 1, 7, 12

Best bet of the day here at Randwick and I do find it tough to see anything being able to roll this smart Godpolphin horse in Tom Kitten. I have included those from my Saturday Tips at Randwick of which I am confident one of them fills second place. Full write up in Saturday Tips at Randwick.

Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

# Today's Tip

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
