The Autumn Group 1 races season is pretty much at it’s peak this weekend with massive Group 1 races in NSW and VIC with the $3 million TAB Australian Cup being the feature of the day at Flemington racecourse and the Tancred Stakes being the feature at Rosehill racecourse. I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. In addition to my Saturday tips there is also a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

It’s going to be a big day of racing with bumper cards set for Flemington racecourse and Rosehill racecourse. We are looking to pick up some more lucrative bets and as usual I am continuing the strategy that has been having success in focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off so lets get stuck back into things so follow me below for another solid day of exotics betting below!

2nd: 2, 7, 8, 9

Risky race for an exotics bet but it also the feature race of the day across everywhere and as such the pools will be a lot larger for this. I think that the winner comes from my top two selections with the #8 being my next best bet at the course. Full write up in my Saturday tips at Flemington.

Exacta at 833% @ Playup (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Rosehill - R8

1st: 1, 3, 4, 5

2nd: 1, 3, 4, 5

My best bet of the day steps out in the feature race of the day at Rosehill and the same philosophy applies with the big pools being applicable and whilst the #5 looks like a smart favourite, I think that there are chances for all my runners. 2nd: 2, 3, 8

We have been going very well with this type of exotic bet, hitting back hard on a couple close misses by winning in the listed racing this time last week at Rosehill and I am keen to keep things going here. Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
