Exotic Tips of the Day

The Group 1 races season is in full tilt with massive listed racing again this weekend and I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. In addition to my Wednesday tips there is also a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

It’s going to be a big day of racing with two listed races at Caulfield and a bunch of great support races at both Caulfield and Kensington racecourse. We are looking to pick up some more lucrative bets and as usual I am continuing the strategy that has been having success in focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off so lets get stuck back into things so follow me below for another solid day of exotics betting below!

Exacta - Caulfield - R2

1st: 4, 12

2nd: 3, 4, 12, 13

The #4 is my roughie of the day at Caulfield in the feature race of the day but I do think he will have to get past a smart favourite in the #12 so with that being said I have them both in for first place and then both of them and my remaining two picks in for second. Exacta - Kensington - R2

1st: 4, 5, 6, 8

2nd: 4, 5, 6, 8

The #8 is my roughie of the day at Kensington and the more I look at this race the more I like him to win but he is at a big price, with the majority of my other picks being at solid odds as well (bar the #5) I think all are winning chances and any combination of them would be a very nice payout. 1st: 3

2nd: 2, 5, 6

Best bet of the day here at Kensington and I am very keen to kick the day off with two winning bets on this race. I really do think the #3 is a moral stepping out here and you can see my reasoning in either my best bets tips or Wednesday tips at Kensington. My other three selections go in for second place.

Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

# Today's Tip

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
