Exotic Tips of the Day

The Group 1 races season is coming to a close but we still have solid racing again tomorrow and I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. In addition to my Wednesday tips there is also a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

It’s going to be a big day of racing with bumper cards set for Flemington racecourse and Ascot racecourse. We are so lucky to have a listed race at each of the courses and are looking to pick up some more lucrative bets and as usual I am continuing the strategy that has been having success in focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off so lets get stuck back into things so follow me below for another solid day of exotics betting below!

Exacta - Flemington - R3

2nd: 1, 2, 3, 4

My best bet of the day here at Flemington in the #3 who is a very sharp horse for the NZ raiders in the Walker camp but there is a joint favourite in the race for good reason so both of those go in for first and second with my other selections accompanying for second place. Exacta at 833% @ Playup (Best of three totes)

1st: 4, 5, 7, 9
2nd: 4, 5, 7, 9

My roughie of the day in both my Best Bets tips and Wednesday Tips is in this race, the #7, at Flemington and I think that whilst he is a winning chance, so are many of the other horses I have selected and all come up at nice odds so I have thrown them in for both lines of betting.

Exacta at 414% @ Punterspal (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Ascot - R2

1st: 14
2nd: 1, 2, 16

I just really don’t see the #14 losing this race at Ascot and you can find my full reasoning in my best bets tips or Wednesday Tips at Ascot but I do think he’s a very sharp horse who is ready to shed the maiden tag after two sharp runs this time in. Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

# Today's Tip

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
