The Autumn Group 1 races season has pretty much peaked but we aren’t done with high level racing just yet and the week starts here with two great cards at Geelong racecourse and Newcastle racecourse. I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. It’s going to be a big day of racing with bumper cards set for Newcastle racecourse and Geelong racecourse. My best bet of the day at Newcastle in the #1 who I think is the leading contender and one of the better betting spots of the day but I think that the #10 is a dangerous horse and he might be able to put the favourite away with luck. My roughie of the day steps out here in the #5 who comes in at a big price but I think that he’s a very good shot of winning given that he resumes for a leading camp (N Doyle) and has had a recent electric trial. My other selection are all at that $4.00 mark so if my roughie and one of them makes up the exacta we are looking at a great pay day. 2nd: 6, 7, 9
We have been going very well with this type of exotic bet, hitting back hard on a couple close misses by winning in the listed racing over the weekend in NSW and I am keen to keep the ball rolling here. - Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
- 50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
- More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
- A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two
