Exotic Tips of the Day

The Autumn Group 1 races season is approaching it’s peak this weekend with massive Group 1 races in NSW and VIC this weekend and we kick things off with two very nice Wednesday cards to lead us in at Kensington racecourse and Sandown Hillside racecourse. I have posted full length free horse racing tips for each of the aforementioned racecourses. In addition to my Wednesday tips there is also a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

It’s going to be a big day of racing with bumper cards set for Kensington racecourse and Sandown Hillside racecourse. We are looking to pick up some more lucrative bets and as usual I am continuing the strategy that has been having success in focusing on exacta betting as it continues to pay off so lets get stuck back into things so follow me below for another solid day of exotics betting below!

Exacta - Sandown Hillside - R2

1st: 5, 7

2nd: 3, 5, 7, 8

My next best bet of the day here at Sandown Hillside in the #7 who I think is the leading contender here for Peter Moody but the market is backing the #5 into favouritism, despite both being longer odds. Exacta at 833% @ Playup (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Sandown Hillside - R4

1st: 1, 2, 4, 6

2nd: 1, 2, 4, 6

My roughie of the day steps out in this race at Sandown Hillside and I think he’s a very good chance of getting up here at a nice price. There is a short price favourite in this race who does look very progressive but with three of my other selections being at $7.00 odds it makes this a great betting race for this type of exacta. Exacta at 414% @ Punterspal (Best of three totes)

Exacta - Kensington - R1

1st: 4

2nd: 1, 3, 9

We have been going very well with this type of exotic bet, hitting back hard on a couple close misses by winning in the listed racing this past weekend at Rosehill and I am keen to keep things going here. Trifecta betting can prove extremely lucrative when a higher odds runner fills any of the spots in the trifecta as it massively boosts the total odds.
50% of runners that finish first in the trifecta were placed in their start prior
More than 65% of runners that finish second in trifectas finished 1st-5th in their start prior
A simple way of comparing two horses that you are considering adding into your exacta / trifecta is to add their placings from the last four starts and take the smaller of the two

# Today's Tip

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
