Canterbury R3 - The Agency Real Estate Mdn Plate (1250m)

Selections:
#4 - Tannenburg (BEST BET) - $4.20
#6 - Tulle - $3.20
#5 - Vanquished - $3.00
#1 - Botanica - $8.50

BEST BET - #4 - Tannenburg (BEST BET)
Tannenburg has had just the one run for Chris Waller but looks set to improve sharply off the back of what was already an impressive debut to racing. He stepped out off the back of a bunch of sharp trials at Gosford just under two weeks ago where he was held up but still chased hard between runners in a smart effort to place third there in good time. Well placed to go one better now.

THE DANGER - #6 - Tulle
Tulle made his debut at the beginning of the month for James Cummings and it was a smart effort there when stepping out at Kensington in the midweeks and making a mess of the start but the way he recovered and chased hard all run was very impressive when finding the line well to place there. Natural improvement should carry him far here second up.

VALUE BET  - #5 - Vanquished
Vanquished commands an element of respect here for the Waterhouse / Bott stable and has only had the three runs to kick the career off and looked very sharp when resuming from a 25 week spell last time out at Kensington, he ran as favourite there when doing too much work early and just being overrun late into third. He shapes up fitter now and will be able to maintain that front running style now.

Canterbury R4 - Quayclean (Bm64) (1250m)

Selections:
#3 - Tumbling  - $4.00
#2 - Sumo Star - $3.20
#5 - Yendy (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $10.00
#4 - Dear Jewel  - $4.60

BEST BET - #3 - Tumbling
Tumbling represents the Maher and Eustace stable combining with Jmac aboard and he has to be the leading contender here. He’s had just the two runs to kick his career off and after winning first up at Ballarat he bombed out next start and has gone back to the paddock for some work since then. He now comes into this race off the back of a bunch of sharp trials and I think there is real intent here.

THE DANGER - #2 - Sumo Star
Sumo Star is a justifiable favourite here for the Portelli stable as he takes a huge step back in depth here and despite taking on a stack of weight it might not be enough to slow him down here. He resumed off of a 14 week break from racing at Rosehill in Saturday company where he sat outside the lead and kicked strongly to only find one better in Shadows Of Love. He rates well off the back of that and should be prominent here.

VALUE BET  - #5 - Yendy (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Beware the unbeaten horse. Yendy has had two runs to kick the career off for Maher and Eustace and does take a big step up in competition here but I am keen to have a throw at him at odds here. His two runs have come at Nowra when winning on debut over the 1200m before coming off of a three week break and stepping over the same distance at Goulburn and winning dominantly again. He now comes into this third up, hard fit and sure to run well again.

Canterbury R6 - Ranvet (Bm72) (1550m)

Selections:
#1 - Clear Choice (NEXT BEST) - $3.40
#5 - Yankee Hussel - $3.60
#4 - Eau De Vie - $4.80
#3 - Buillt - $5.50

BEST BET - #1 - Clear Choice (NEXT BEST)
Clear Choice hasn’t put in a bad effort this time in for the Pfieffer stable and now is hard fit, coming back in depth and can record another win before likely going away for a spell. He recorded two close placings to kick the campaign off this time in before running at Rosehill last start over the 1500m where he came from three wide in the straight to just keep powering to the line and claim the race too well for them. He rates very highly off the back of that and should be strong here.

THE DANGER - #5 - Yankee Hussel
Yankee Hussel is a smart horse for Kris Lees that just struggles to put it all together but he has a bunch of runs on board and if he brings his sharpest manners to this race. He last raced in the Inglis Bracelet at Flemington where he just did too much wrong in the run to be a winning threat but his class saw him keep fighting to the line to finish just behind the placegetters. He is hard fit, well back in depth and just needs his manners in check to win this.

VALUE BET - #3 - Buillt
Buillt, I think is above this field at his best for Chris Waller, he just needs to find his best. He’s been up for awhile and did win a couple runs back at Warwick Farm and seems to be holding form quite nicely still, having run a close placing since and is rarely far away. He now comes back from Saturday grade racing hard fit, with Jmac on and should get a more economical run after being badly held up last time. Go close.

Best Promotions for Canterbury Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
