Cranbourne R3 - Rosemont Stud Mdn Plate (1400m)

Selections:
#5 - Zasceed (NEXT BEST) - $3.20
#1 - Kessler - $2.20
#7 - Stone Cold Stunner  - $3.60
#3 - Villeneuve - $7.50

BEST BET - #5 - Zasceed (NEXT BEST)
Trying to stay away from these earlier races as there is very little exposed form but I quite like the look of a couple in this third race. The one I like the most is Zasceed who has found the maiden win elusive but it certainly hasn't been without trying, finding the placings in 7/11 starts. She has Spain on now, will be hard fit and good for her race experience thus far and from the good draw will be hard to beat here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Kessler
Kessler has had just the one start in the Heavy at Kilmore about a month and a half ago when the market ruled her out and she defied the price with an ever brave run to clock in some good splits and come second there with a gap to third. Gets a big jockey upgrade now, you’d think there be good upside off the back of that debut run and the market certainly has her right to go. Top chance.

VALUE BET  - #7 - Stone Cold Stunner
Stone Cold Stunner looks to be a progressive type for the Maher and Eustace camp who has had just the two career starts thus far but looked to have made big improvements second up last time out at Pakenham over the 1200m in a strong Maiden race where she raced off the speed and joined the front at the 300m to fight hard to the line and end up third. Pakenham favours the front runners which only adds more merit to the run and I think that third up now, with a good jockey and decent draw should see her ultra competitive here. Don’t dismiss.

Cranbourne R5 - Browns Sawdust & Shavings-Bm64 (1200m)

Selections:
#9 - The Sisters - $4.40
#3 - Miss Icelandic - $3.60
#2 - Wok Star (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $10.00
#7 - Swiss Babe - $6.00

BEST BET - #9 - The Sisters
This looks like a very good spot for The Sisters to pick up her first win of this campaign third up here. The Pat Carey seven-year-old placed in this grade over the 1000m fresh at Mornington and then came to this track in the mud a couple weeks back where she had to overcome the widest gate and couldn’t really work into it on the bogged down track but was far from disgraced, finishing over the top of half the field from far back. I think back onto the top of the ground and from gate two should see her have every chance now third up.

THE DANGER - #3 - Miss Icelandic
Miss Icelandic was awesome on debut at Pakenham and can go on with it now. I was on her then back in late March and she was very brave, living up to the big price tag when she raced two wide and then motored up to find the lead at the 200m, timing her run a bit early but having enough to keep them at bay when tiring late to score then. She has plenty of speed to cross and find the front early and if she does so without exhausting too much effort, she will have plenty for them. Keen to see how she goes on with it second up now after a short break.

VALUE BET  - #2 - Wok Star (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Wok Star is a promising three-year-old for the Busuttin/Young stable who has been patiently eased along in a lengthy prep and it has been working out with two wins and a bunch of placings in eleven runs this campaign. One of those wins came two back at Kyneton over the 1200m where she took over at the 400m and never looked like losing. She then came to this track over the 1000m last time out in the mud but didn’t seem to handle the going, just battling along in the run to end up midfield but not being disgraced. Back on top of the ground and better for the run here prior, she is a top chance and I think definitely over the odds, good value play.

Cranbourne R6 - R&C Asphalt & Paving Hcp (64) (1000m)

Selections:
#4 - Silver Waves (BEST BET)  - $3.00
#2 - He's Essential - $4.40
#3 - San Telmos Fire - $7.00
#1 - Vanderland  - $10.00

BEST BET - #4 - Silver Waves (BEST BET)
Silver Waves gets in very well at the weights after just missing in softer grade than this but she was very unlucky there to not make it two wins in as many starts when second to another smart and progressive horse who also had the gun run. Before then she saluted impressively in a strong Mornington Maiden at this distance on debut and in the small field now she maps to sit on the speed and based on her splits she should have plenty for them late, very keen on her prospects third up now and think the price is good enough to take.

THE DANGER - #2 - He's Essential
He’s Essential is a Peter Moody trained three-year-old who is resuming off a long spell of nearly a year and runs very well with fresh legs. He gets in pretty well at the weights and last campaign was contesting some harder races than these. I like him from the low draw and with Egan on, the jumpout work has been very good leading back up to this and I think there’s not too much between these, top chance.

VALUE BET - #1 - Vanderland
I think that Vanderland can run a cracker of a race second up now after resuming from a long spell last time out at Bairnsdale where she jumped strongly to find the lead and just just tired inside the last 75m of the run, where she nearly had enough on them to pinch it but just found one better to end up second. That was a great first up effort and will naturally improve quite a bit off that, I think she will go very close here and is over the odds.

He has also received the Victoria Racing Club's Champion Jockey Award in two consecutive seasons (2019/20 and 2020/21), underscoring his reputation as one of Victoria's finest jockeys. He is known to perform exceptionally well on major race days, and he has secured a significant number of rides for this weekend's racing at Cranbourne Park Lakeside, I have outlined them all below:

R3 - #6 - Manhattan Thunder - $12.00

Multi Tips For Cranbourne Racecourse

One of the most significant considerations in picking up multiple winners is the track bias, which favors horses that don’t get too far back in the run at Flemington Racecourse. As a result, horses drawn on the inside have a better chance of performing well compared to those drawn towards the outside. I have factored in this aspect when making my multi bets, taking into account the horses' respective preps and their drawn barrier positions. Follow below for a multi to track over race day!

R2 - #4 - Good And Proper - PLC $2.20
R3 - #4 - She Dances - PLC $1.45
R5 - #9 - Running By - PLC $1.20

Total Odds = $3.82
$50 Stake = $191.40 Return!

Best Promotions for Cranbourne Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
