Geelong R2 - Attvest Finance Mdn Plate (1200m)

Selections:
#5 - GINGER 'N' PINK (BEST BET) - $3.90
#12 - Meg's Magic - $8.50
#2 - Batrana - $20.00
#3 - Bolsheviks - $19.00

BEST BET - #5 - GINGER 'N' PINK (BEST BET)
A lot of these are lightly raced and we get a big field here and as such this has put the majority of this field at very nice prices but I do think the Peter Moody Ginger ‘N’ Pink has a touch of class about her that she just hasn’t had the chance to fully display this far. She debuted at Sale when setting at the rear from the wide gate and making up heaps of ground from out of the race. She resumed at Caulfield when finishing seventh and doing a bit wrong and then putting it all together to be held up in the straight. She should improve sharply into this and I am convinced she has a bit going for her.

THE DANGER - #12 - Meg's Magic
Meg’s Magic looks like a progressive juvenile for Phillip Stokes who should get every chance from barrier six in this big field. She resumed off a long twenty four week spell at Sale at the end of May when jumping awkwardly and chasing hard from out wide to finish second in a bold first up effort. She has been putting together sharp runs in her two since and seems to go best when ridden cold. She has been turned around quickly for this assignment, having raced just a week ago which makes me think the stable has real intent here for her and I am keen on her prospects at odds.

VALUE BET  - #2 - Batrana
Batrana represents the ever prominent Mcevoy camp who certainly know what they are doing with their juveniles and have to be respected at this course. They won here a fortnight ago with Coco Sun, another juvenile first starter from their camp. Batrana fts a similar profile, being a well bred filly who has jumped out well leading into this. She had a jumpout just 10 days ago over the 900m where she showed great early speed and I think she can speck here at big odds.

Geelong R5 - Miramar Underwriting Mdn (1400m)

Selections:
#7 - Booboo Boogie (NEXT BEST) - $2.45
#8 - Co Co Van Winkle - $3.80
#6 - Statesmanship - $9.00
#12 - Alaska De Lune - $4.00

BEST BET - #Alaska De Lune
There looks to be a couple key chances in this field but I think that the Damien O’Brien trained Booboo Boogie shouldn’t be a maiden anymore. Her past two efforts over this track and distance have been more than encouraging when running ever close placings and striking some trouble that without she likely would have won both of those runs. She looks to be at peak now off the back of a luckless run last time out in the Heavy over this distance where she was in an awkward spot from the wide draw and still ran on super strongly to come second. Should roll forward from barrier three now, Meech on and loves a front runner, tough to beat.

THE DANGER - #8 - Co Co Van Winkle
The Hayes boys look to have quite a talented juvenile on their hands in Co Co Van Winkle who had a solid three run debut prep in the Summer where they looked to really start to get the tactics right in his third and final run before a spell when ridden forward and looking the winner over this distance in a Strong Maiden to only be gunned down in the final strides into second. He looked sharp in a recent Flemington Jumpout and likely finds the lead here and will be hard to hold out.

VALUE BET  - #6 - Statesmanship
Statesmanship put in some great performances in high grade for the Snowdens back in the day but was sold to Tony Parker at the beginning of last year, didn’t do too much for the stable last time in but seems to be in for a good second prep now for the stable. He resumed off of an 18 week spell at Geelong in mid May and was great from out front there, only finding one better late and then coming to this distance on the Synthetic where he jumped awkwardly but did the same as the run prior and again only found one better. He should be hard fit now and finally draws a good gate in gate two which should give him every chance.

Geelong R6 - Bet365 (Bm64) (1400m)

Selections:
#10 - Soho Queen - $6.00
#1 - Cru Classe - $6.50
#14 - Strangeless (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $14.00
#8 - Ellenmac - $6.00

BEST BET - #10 - Soho Queen
Soho Queen looks like a super progressive horse for the Dabernig stable who is lightly raced and looks set to peak here third up for the stable. She resumed off a 26 week break at Terang where she set second and two wide in the run and found plenty to draw clear of the field just after the 125m for a soft win. Then, last time out she worked from three deep and out wide to improve into the run and chased well when her early work told as she faded just behind the placegetters there. She has more to offer still and doesn’t need to improve too much to be competitive here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Cru Classe
I can’t see Cru Classe going badly here for Patrick Payne. The five year old has been up for some time now after a six run prep thus far that has seen him go so close in five of them, being either the runner up or third place and rarely missing by more than a length and I think this will be the easiest contest he faces in some time. He raced at this course last time out under Campbell who retains the ride today when sitting right on the speed and fighting hard to the line but just not being able to get there behind the winner and second place. This assignment isn’t much tougher and I think ridden with a bit of a sit will only aid his cause.

VALUE BET - #14 - Strangeless (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Not backing her with too much confidence but the Price and Kent trained Strangeless looks to be in for a decent debut prep for the stable after just the one run for Kurt Goldman that saw her win on debut in the Heavy. She has had two runs back for the new camp and looks to have improved sharply in her last run when doing it tough from wide early and working well in the run before being eased out of it late to finish fourth. She should be much fitter from that, better for her two runs back at the races and with Gaudray on they can find the front and give a sight from there.

Multi Tips For Geelong

The Geelong track displays a noticeable bias towards horses that can run well on the inside, as well as those with previous experience at this venue. Additionally, I have given priority to horses based on the jockey who will be riding them, as certain jockeys have demonstrated their expertise on this track. Furthermore, horses that are trained at this location tend to have an advantage. Follow my multi below for a fun betting option to track on race day at Geelong!

Best Promotions for Geelong Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
