Moonee Valley R1 - ASCEND SALES TROPHIES (BM70) (1600m)

Selections:
#8 - Cap De Joie (BEST BET)  - $2.50
#1 - Ceasar - $4.20
#2 - Aspen Colorado  - $8.00
#10 - Soaring Eagle - $7.00

BEST BET - #8 - Cap De Joie (BEST BET)
Cap De Joie is a promising mare for Nick Ryan that resumed at Sandown a couple weeks ago over the 1400m and it was a great return to racing for her, lugging 61.5kg on her back and still chasing hard the entire straight to end up second of eleven to the smart Unusual Culture. She’s fitter now, goes out to the mile and drops some weight for this, Shinn sticks and they won’t need much more to go over second up now.

THE DANGER - #1 - Ceasar
Caesar was getting a bit unlucky this prep when consistently finding one better after racing at this track his past few runs but that luck turned around last time out when he raced over the same distance at this track last time and jumped on the bunny, led them and won with a bit in hand. There’s more too this field than there was there but he gets nice weight relief, should jump on the bunny again and has that winning feeling now.

VALUE BET  - #10 - Soaring Eagle
Soaring Eagle maps for a great run from the inside gate which has to be valued quite highly at The Valley. She isn’t the most trustworthy mare but she comes into this after picking up a win under the lights at Pakenham where she sat up on the speed before being asked for the effort by Gaudray and when asked for it she drew clear of them there. Now gets Mark Zahra aboard and likes racing here. Definitely in with a chance.

Moonee Valley R5 - THE SHARP EIT ALL-STAR MILE (1600m)

Selections:
#2 - Sirileo Miss (NEXT BEST) - $3.10
#8 - Revolutionary Miss - $4.40
#3 - Cliff’s Art - $7.50
#1 - Barb Raider - $4.60

BEST BET - #2 - Sirileo Miss (NEXT BEST)
Sirileo Miss is the deserving favourite in this race. The Symon Wilde five-year-old has returned to racing in fine order after resuming in the Frances Tressady Stakes where he looked to just need the run he went onto the Matron Stakes at Flemington over this distance a fortnight ago and scored impressively, being dominant to the line despite racing a bit greenly. There are a couple in this race that he beat off there and whilst he steps up to G2 competition now this doesn’t look overly strong.

THE DANGER - #8 - Revolutionary Miss
Revolutionary Miss comes into this off the back of a group two win in The Kewney where she was super smart, getting crowded out towards the end of the race and looking like she was there to be pinched but she found clear ear and changed the gears late to win impressively. This isn’t the strongest race and the form from that reads well, I just think her sit/sprint race pattern might make things tricky at this track and give Sirileo Miss the edge on her in that aspect.

VALUE BET  - #3 - Cliff’s Art
Cliff’s Art looks like she has been prepped towards this race. She resumed in the Millie Fox Stakes at Rosehill and just looked to need that run for fitness but still passed a few there before going onto the Emancipation stakes three weeks ago where she sat on the speed throughout and fought hard to just go down to the in form / fitter Thalassophile. She’s had a strong trial last week to ready her for this and I think she has a bit of class on a lot of the Mares in this field. Strong chance if she can overcome the track bias and lob onto the speed.

Moonee Valley R7 - 3 POINT MOTORS WILLIAM REID (1200m)

Selections:
#11 - Imperatriz - $3.70
#7 - Jigsaw - $6.00
#14 - Benedetta (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $8.50
#5 - In The Congo - $7.00

BEST BET - #14 - Benedetta (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Benedetta isn’t going to know herself with 54kg on her back and can make it five wins in a row here tomorrow. She’s been the favourite in all of these last four wins and obviously steps up in grade here today but wow has she looked just amazing up until now. She most recently took out the Inglis Sprint at Flemington, a race over this distance that whilst is on a different track, looks similar to how this should be run out. She knocked off some smart types in the likes of Paris Dior and Insurrection there and maps to sit just outside the leaders/on pacers and will have a mighty kick into the straight.

THE DANGER - #11 - Imperatriz
Imperatriz is a serious mare for Mark Walker that now has the NSW debut ticked off and she really looked the winner there in the Canterbury Stakes two weeks ago but was just just nailed late by Artorious. She’s back on firmer ground now, has proven she belongs with the best and 1200m is her best distance IMO.

VALUE BET - #7 - Jigsaw
Jigsaw has been absolutely outstanding for Cindy Alderson this campaign, he’s won four from four since resuming in the Apache Cat Classic late last year and most recently took out the Australia Stakes at this track and trip and wow was he good there, driving through at the 900m to take control of the race and dominate them out front. That reads pretty well for this and he maps to be right up on the speed in the spot that’s best for this track/trip and he knows how to win here.

Multi Tips For Moonee Valley

The Valley track exhibits a distinct Bias in the distance ranges I have predicted races in, favoring horses close to the rail and those with prior experience at this venue. In addition, I have chosen to prioritize horses based on the jockey riding them, given that some jockeys have proven to be specialists on this track. Best Promotions for Moonee Valley Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
