Friday Racing Tips - Moonee Valley Racecourse 24/11/23

A half a million dollar card is set to take place at Moonee Valley this Friday night and we have some very high level and competitive races on the card with nine races set for tomorrow and I have gone through the card and picked out my three best betting spots of the day, I am quite excited for this card so follow me below as I run through tomorrow night’s racing at The Valley!

BEST BET - #2 - Precious Charm
Precious Charm looks like the outright best bet here for the Wilde Stable who goes very well at this course. She looked like she was gone on Oaks Day when she stepped out at the 1700m at Flemington but just kept finding the line well to hold them off. The way she’s going and back 100m now I think she will be awfully tough to beat here.

THE DANGER - #6 - Fearless Writer
Fearless Writer is a deserving favourite here for the McGregor stable and has to rate highly here. She ran in the same Precious Charm race on Oaks day but was held up a bunch during the run and I think with clear air she would have finished a lot closer. I think coming back 100m, based on her run style only aids her chances now as well.

VALUE BET  - #5 - Born Hustler (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Born Hustler seems to be going well and I think second up now can show big improvement for Jason Warren. He resumed racing three weeks back over the 1400m and came from behind the speed to keep powering home behind a smart horse in a sharp return to racing. He is good second up and good at this track and trip. Go close at odds.

BEST BET - #5 - Under And Over (BEST BET)
My tipping in these Moonee Valley sprints has been pretty solid of late and I think that we can get the money on what looks like a smart favourite for the McEvoy camp. She smashed them when resuming at Ballarat before coming here this time last week when running on well behind an all the way winner in Aminatu. She gets gate one now, should be running hard out front and can be too much for them to catch here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Celui
As good as the favourite looks he is going to have to fend off a key challenger in Celui for the Stanley stable. This three year old comes out of the Coolmore Stud where he just found the level and step up to 1200m a bit too sharp for him. Now back to the track and trip where he does his best work and gets in light, only runs well IMO.

VALUE BET  - #6 - Our Cracklin Rosie
Our Cracklin Rosie rates highly here for the Nichols stable and really seems to have hit form. He’s had a few runs this time in and after putting together a bunch of sharp runs and then really hitting form last time out when running at Mornington over this trip, finding the lead and then dominating them from out front. He rates well here off the back of that effort now.

BEST BET - #5 - Oak Hill (NEXT BEST) 
Oak Hill has to be the leading contender here for Michael Moroney. He debuted at Kilmore where he likely should have got the money but he just couldn’t get clear air in the straight when itching to come on. He gets the chance to go a lot closer now from the draw which should see him park behind the speed and I think he will be tough here.

THE DANGER - #2 - Flying Mean
Flying Mean is a well bred horse who makes his debut here for Clinton McDonald and the market is giving him a tonne of respect and I can see why. His Jumpouts have been very sharp and he has been moving well in all of them combined with the fact he’s set to debut at this course which means there is a fair bit of intent and the race itself isn’t overly competitive. 

VALUE BET - #3 - Godspeed
Godspeed might not be going well enough to win here but he can certainly fill an exotics spot. He resumed at The Bool when fighting hard in the straight after boxing along on the speed but just couldn’t get there when third to a smart horse. He now will be sharper for that run at this trip and will be running well here.
