Ciaron Maher has another absolute rocket on his hands in Pharai and it looks set to be the one to put down the gauntlet here at Moonee Valley. Speed is what its all about here over less than 1000m and Pharai has it in its droves.

THE DANGER - Passeggiata - $7.00
A hiatus of sorts ahead of this one is the question mark for Passeggiata but on credentials, it should be fully in the hunt. Whilst results of late haven't been anything to write home about, if it gets the chance to get going, it has the pace to challenge.

VALUE BET - Celui - $8.00
Another horse that has taken a break is Celui and this could be a chance to get back to winning ways at the start of the new campaign. The pace could be a touch too hot to handle but this could be a good run out at least.

The big one of the day pits some of the fastest horses on the planet here at Moonee Valley. Mr Brightside is in fine form, having got the better of Pride of Jenni last time out and it will be looking to win again in this one.

It has been a seismic battle between Pride of Jenni and Mr Brightside over the past 12 months or so and this is the latest installment. One thing to remember is these two have the beating of each other, so anything can happen.

VALUE BET - Antino - $9.50
The quality of this race is exemplified by Antino's price here, a seriously good horse in most fields but this could be a tall order. It looks to be running for places and it represents decent value for an each way return.
