Friday Racing Tips - Pakenham Synthetic Racecourse 02/06/23

Friday nights return to Pakenham Synthetic after a short while away from this track and I am very keen to get stuck into what looks like it should be a good little race card. There’s eight races tee’d up with the first four being maiden races and the remainder to be contested in Benchmark 58 - 70 grade. I think there will be some nice betting spots on the card with some good types making their way onto the synthetic as well as a handful of interesting debutants. Follow me below for my best bets for racing at the Pakenham Synthetic racecourse this Friday below!

Pakenham Synthetic R1 - Plusvital Mdn Plate (1000m)

Selections:
#6 - Vigneron (BEST BET)  - $4.40
#11 - Rippling Belle - $2.25
#14 Champagne In Lace - $7.50
#4 - Raining Cubes - $19.00

BEST BET - #6 - Vigneron (BEST BET)
It’s close between a couple of these in the opener but going to side with Vigneron who I think, as long as he doesn’t let them get too far in front of him, should sit just off a very genuine speed and be too strong for them late here. The Maher and Eustace three-year-old has only come to the races three times in her career so far but has been making steady improvements each time and looks perfectly placed here now to go over with Mertens aboard I will trust him to steer him into a position where he will be forward enough to be in the race late.

THE DANGER - #11 - Rippling Belle
I do think that Chris Alderson has a good thing with Ripping Belle but I just think he maps to do a bit too much early work and that with the fitness advantage Vigenron may run over him. However, Rippling Belle does look the top chance in this field as he only has to make it to the 1000m without tiring and he will be fitter for this assignment second up now off a three month break. He returned at Mornington over this distance and was honest in defeat, shifting out wide on the turn and powering home but just couldn’t real in the leader when second there. He looks very well placed to go one better now.

VALUE BET  - #14 - Champagne In Lace
Simon Zahra and Matthew Cartwright combine on Champagne in Lace who resumes off a long 23 week spell for this assignment and has shown promise in just the seven career starts to date. He has been racing in some tough competition and clocking in great splits in a lot of his runs, the jumpout work for his return has looked good as well. He has heaps of early speed and from gate 5 he should just bounce straight onto the lead, if it doesn’t use up much effort which he doesn’t map to do, I think he will still have plenty to offer on the turn and be prominent all run. Top chance.

Pakenham Synthetic R3 - Evergreen Turf Mdn Plate (1400m)

Selections:
#4 - Jayzeal (NEXT BEST)  - $5.50
#12 - Swear Shes Perfect - $2.80
#10 - I Am Beautiful - $8.50
#2 - Cent To War - $18.00

BEST BET - #4 - Jayzeal (NEXT BEST)
I think that Jayzeal has been very well set up to break maiden for Michael Kent here. He comes into this off the back of a run at this track over the 1200m just shy of a week ago and has been set to turn around very quickly, obviously the camp has her right to go again with the fitness and confidence from a very good last run where she raced three wide with no cover all trip and still came on strongly at the end to just be gunned down in the final strides of the race when second. He rates highly in this field and will be racing with 55kg on his back after the claim, I think he will lob onto the speed and be hard to run down.

THE DANGER - #12 - Swear She's Perfect
I think that this race is Swear She's Perfect’s to lose. The Simon Zahra trained four-year-old has done very little wrong in her five career starts since coming to the stable and has placed in his last four runs consecutively, making him very well primed to break through here. He’s just been unlucky in his past few as his run style often sees him get far back in the race which opens one up to more complications. He should sit at the tale of this field and be ready to launch late, 1400m looks ideal, my only concern is the track plays towards front runners but at this distance and beyond statistically more runners from wider / deeper have better chances to win than the sprints.

VALUE BET  - #10 - I Am Beautiful
I think it would be foolish to discount the Phillip Stokes trained I Am Beautiful who rates one of the highest in this field and should be approaching peak fitness third up here. She worked home strongly from out wide when resuming from a 48 week spell to place at Geelong before going to this track on the course proper and being held up at the 400m when finally starting her run just before the 400m. Zac Spain is aboard, they draw and map well and I think she will be very strong here.

Pakenham Synthetic R7 - Liberty Equipment Hire (Bm70) (1200m)

Selections:
#2 - Race Card - $4.00
#7 - Kapanku - $3.30
#6 - He's Essential (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $7.00
#1 - Hidden Legend - $5.00

BEST BET - #2 - Race Card
Race Card looks to return in very good order for Simon Zahra off the back of some very nice Jumpout work and the latest saw him lead all the way to win. I think the stable has him fit for this and the only query is that he is a true stayer and 1200m first up may be just a bit too short. However, He kicked off last preparation here on the synthetic over the 1400m and saluted first up. I think he likes racing here and with Stackhouse on in the small field they can slide forward to sit just behind the leaders and have a strong kick late.

THE DANGER - #7 - Kapanku
Kapanku looks the clear danger in this race for Phillip Stokes. The four year old resumed three weeks ago at this track on the course proper and was far from disgraced there but the jockey said post race that he just didn’t handle the wet track. He has an outstanding record here, with two wins and a close second in three runs, will be fitter for the first up run and goes well second up generally. I think he could give a dominant site and it wouldn’t surprise.

VALUE BET - #6 - He's Essential (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
He’s essential resumed just over a fortnight ago at Cranbourne under Billy Egan and did more than enough there on a testing soft track over the 1000m where he sat on the fence and angled off at the turn, battling hard in the straight to finish midfield. He’s untried at the 1200m but I can’t see it being a problem based off of that first up run and I think he will go very well here second up now in a small and softer field.

Best Promotions for Pakenham Synthetic Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
