Friday Racing Tips - Sunshine Coast Racecourse 27/10/23

Metro racing continues at the Sunshine Coast this Friday and we have an exciting eight race card, with a mixture between some decent Benchmark races, a couple maidens and a combination of sprints and staying races that should make for an awesome day of racing at the track. The track is rated a good 4 and the rail is in true position so follow me below for the best free tips for Sunshine Coast racing this Friday!

BEST BET - #3 - Victory Win (BEST BET)
Victory Win has had two runs to kick off his career for Annabel Neasham and now comes back to racing off of a 21 week spell and I think he will look strong in this field. He’s had no public trials to lead him back into racing here and I do think the stable would have placed him here with a fair bit of intent given the way he broke maiden. He stepped out at the Sunshine Coast to win his maiden where he really got going in the straight and charged clear of them for a smart win in great time. There’s been three subsequent winners out of that race, I think he’s talented, I think he wins here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Shot Of Whiskey
Shot Of Whiskey looks like a smart horse for the prominent O’Dea / Hoystead camp and I think he is as honest a chance as any in this field. He was five weeks between runs when he last stepped out at Doomben over this distance and was very good against the track pattern there when able to come from just behind the speed to beat all but the winner there in a smart effort. He gets a key claim from Lang here and will be prominent throughout the run undoubtedly.

VALUE BET  - #4 - King Of The Jungle 
King Of The Jungle should be able to hit back hard here after missing the start over a short 860m Gatton race last time out and not being able to recover but he was very prominent prior to then. He won at this track and trip the start prior and did so in quite good fashion when hitting the front in the straight and drawing clear of the field to win well by a space from the 200m onwards. I think he will get another chance here and comes in at a great price.

BEST BET - #9 - Smashingplates
The McCall stable’s Smashingplates looks like he has been set up for the win here after last stepping out three weeks between runs at this track and trip and putting in a very sharp effort where he tracked the speed before clicking up in the straight, hitting the front and just peaking a tiny bit too early to be overrun late in an effort where he did everything but win. Well placed now with Orman aboard to take this out.

THE DANGER - #8 - Sir Carter
Sir Carter should get his chance here coming in well weighted and from a good draw. He’s been up for some time but has been given breaks between runs and did win a Sunshine Coast race to kick off his campaign here. He hasn’t been tried much at this distance but with hard fitness now and based on how he came on late at the end of his last run I think he will be suited stepping back out to this trip and also gets the winkers on now which should sharpen him up a bit.

VALUE BET  - #12 - Noble Beauty (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) 
Noble Beauty is another representative of the O’dea and Hoystead stable that comes into this race off the back of a 21 week spell and making his debut for this stable. The stable is known for improving tried horses and he also has gone very close with fresh legs in the past, with three runner up placings from four first up runs. He’s had a sharp trial at Daegon to lead him back into racing and with the claim from Lang he gets in at just 53.5kg on his back. The more I look the more I like him.

BEST BET - #7 - Tawfiq Star (NEXT BEST)
Tawfiq Star is another representative of the Neasham stable at the Sunny Coast tomorrow who looks very well placed to get another win here before going away for the end of her prep. She’s had four runs to kick the campaign off with a good fresh win and then a sharp placing two back and another solid run last time out at this track / trip. She looks well placed to go one better now with Thornton aboard.

THE DANGER - #2 - Our Rocketman
Our Rocketman looks like he can hit hard here in what is quite a soft field. His last two runs have come at this track and he was inconclusive two back when racing over this track / trip where he looked to really start going late to click up and win and then got blocked for a run at the 300m-100m but when he did get clear air he powered home to finish just behind the placings. Jimmy Orman on can only aid his chances now.

VALUE BET - #6 - One In All
One In All can win on resumption here for the Batters stable and with Jake Bayliss on they should be able to hit hard here. He was putting in good efforts before bombing out in the I LOVE TURF at this racecourse over the mile at the end of August and now went away for some track work and now comes back off the back of a very sharp trial on the inner track here where he won well and now I think he comes in with a fair bit of intent and ready to win here.
