Friday Racing Tips - Sunshine Coast Racecourse 29/09/23

Metro racing continues at the Sunshine Coast this Friday and we have an exciting eight race card, with a mixture between some decent Benchmark races, a couple maidens and a combination of sprints and staying races that should make for an awesome day of racing at the track. The track is rated a good 4 and the rail is in true position so follow me below for the best free tips for Sunshine Coast racing this Friday!

BEST BET - #1 - Bodua Romance (BEST BET)
Bodua Romance looms very well placed here to pick up another win this campaign before likely going away for a spell. His first two runs were close placings before going to Ipswich over the 1100m where he absolutely belted a nothing field when held up on the turn and still able to come on strong enough to win there. He then stepped out to Saturday grade over the 1200m where he didn’t get the most economical run in transit and now comes back to the 1000m where he should go well and a top chance in this field.

THE DANGER - #4 - Golly Hutt 
The Jenkins trained Golly hutt looks like he has been trialling well for his return and generally goes very well first up. He’s got a couple fresh wins and close placings and now he comes off the back of a trial on the Sunshine Coast inner track where he ran very well and looks to be placed with a fair bit of intent.

VALUE BET  - #6 - Rustic Boom
Rustic Boom looks well placed for the Kendrick stable to go over here at good odds and I think that he is definitely over the odds here. He came off the back of an 18 week spell where he ran a really close placing at Doomben and put the writing on the wall before going out off a three week break and getting the job done here. Last time out was a total forgive run and I think he now looks well placed hard fit here to win again.

BEST BET - #6 - Northern Pride  (NEXT BEST)
Northern Pride is the front runner here for the Gollan stable and I think he looks well placed at a decent price to win again this campaign here. He’s had a few runs this time in but really clicked up in his last outing here where he jumped a short favourite and duly saluted. He didn’t beat much that day but the way he did it was very impressive and reads well for the additional 200m that he gets here. He clocked the best closing splits of the meeting that day and will be running on strongly again now.

THE DANGER - #4 - Soarhi 
Soarhi seems to have found a new lease on life since coming to John Smerdon from the Hawkes stable and really has gotten going in his last few. His last outing saw him step out at Grafton over this trip as a $3.00 favourite where he got a good trail two wide before shifting out wider and powering home for a good win there. He looks very well placed now, hard fit and ready to win again.

VALUE BET  - #2 - Buon Acquisto
Buon Acquisto hasn’t shown an awful lot at the trials leading up to his return but he does look very well placed here for Annabel Neasham and it isn’t totally out of the realm of possibility for Neasham to quietly trial a runner and then have them come out the gates firing. He’s had two trials to lead him back into racing and has run well first up in the past, Thornton booked for the ride, surely goes well here.

BEST BET - #12 - Action King
Action King looks like a smart animal for the Schweida stable who hasn’t put in a bad effort in his two career starts to date. He debuted at Eagle Farm where he ran a very close placing before stepping out to a 1050m race at Doomben that saw him find the lead and never be in doubt from there. I think he looks well placed now stepping out for this assignment.

THE DANGER - #13 - Borrelli 
Schweida is dominating this field with another lightly raced horse in Borrelli who also has failed to put in a bad effort in his two runs to kick the career off. He won on debut at this course as a short priced favourite where he spanked a nothing field before stepping out over this distance again at Eagle Farm where he got an honest contest and proved he was up to the task with a close second placing behind Instagood. He looks well suited to win again here third up now.

VALUE BET - #15 - Heartoni (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) 
There is a definite winning chance in Heartoni for the Kendrick stable and I think that whilst Kelly Schweida is super keen on her runners Heartoni is as good a chance as any and presents as overs here. He’s had three runs this time in and has either won or finished runner up in all of them. He has a super dynamic run style, always shows up and his average splits read some of the best of the meeting. Top chance at odds.
