Friday Racing Tips - Warwick Farm Racecourse 26/01/24

Short but sharp card tomorrow at Warwick Farm with seven races on the program and the feature of the day being the Inglis Australia Day Cup, a listed 2400m race for a share of $200k. I have run through the card and picked out my best betting spots on it and I do think there are some particularly good spots. Follow me below as I outline the days racing at Warwick Farm!

BEST BET - #9 - Love And Light (NEXT BEST)  
Love And Light is a smart horse for the Waterhouse and Bott camp who has placed in both of his career starts but should be ready to win here coming back after a 27 week break. He’s had two sharp trials to lead him back into racing with a win two back and subsequent placing. I think he runs well here first up and should prove tough to beat.

THE DANGER - #3 - Je Reve
Je Reve looks like a horse that has been well educated for start one. He’s been worked along patiently and has had a bunch of sharp trials for start one. His most recent trial is the one that I think is really worth looking at however where he stepped out at Rosehill a few weeks back, found the lead and absolutely jetted away with it. I think he’s been placed here with a bit of intent and should be strong first up.

VALUE BET  - #1 - Detendu
Detendu looks like a sharp debutant for the Pfieffer camp and comes here after winning a trial two back at Warwick Farm and then stepping out with some very sharp horses at Rosehill and running on well to place second. He seems to have been placed with a fair bit of intent and this is within his reach first up.

BEST BET - #6 - Hell Hath No Fury 
Hell Hath No Fury is a hard horse ot catch but on his day he is very sharp for Annabel Neasham and I think that given the way he has been running he is a hard horse to jump off here. He recorded a sharp placing two back at Randwick in tough company before clicking up to win very well last time out and he comes here now hard fit, flying and ready to win again.

THE DANGER - #3 - Infinitive 
Market is specking infinitive with a bit of confidence here and I can understand why. This Chris Waller runner hasn’t been seen at the races for some time but has looked impressive in his short career with a 25% strike rate and he now comes back to racing off the back of two sharp trials where the last saw him really get going late to place well behind some sharp horses. 

VALUE BET  - #11 - Imposant (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) 
Imposant has only had the three career starters for Kris Lees but ahs looked very sharp in each of them, checking off the maiden win first up at Beaumont off of a 20 week spell before coming off of a 3 week break from racing and running home very well at Wyong over the 1300m. He now shapes up hard fit third up and can win again.

BEST BET - #2 - Naval College (BEST BET) 
Naval College has to rate highly here for Annabel Neasham and has rarely put a foot wrong in her twelve career starts with five wins and five placings and comes here chasing a hat trick after winning two in a row at Randwick and Rosehill and looks ready to step out to this trip after winning very sharply at Rosehill over the 2000m last time out. I think he rates very highly here and is one of the better bets on the program. 

THE DANGER - #7 - Yankee Hussel 
Yankee Hussel is a smart horse for Kris Lees who has won three in a row and comes here chasing his fourth consecutive win for the stable. He last stepped out over this trip at Rosehill where he trucked along the fence and found a break at the 200m to hit the front and hold on for a sharp win. He will only be fitter now and can run an even better race.

VALUE BET - #4 - Love Tap 
Love Tap comes out of a very sharp 2200m run at the Gold Coast for the Freedman’s and should be strong here. He was too far back to be a winning threat there but the way he found the line late when coming from almost last to finish just behind the placings was very impressive and now with the added 200m and a closer spot in the run he can take this out.
