Best Multibet Tips of the Day | May 1st

A great Wedneday of racing at Canterbury racecourse and Warrnambool racecourse. Below we have three multi tips across the cards.

The Autumn Group 1 races season has come to an end but we still had some great racing this past Canterbury in SA, NSW and VIC and we now come back to Grafton racecourse and Warrnambool racecourse. On our Onlyracing website I have posted full length free horse racing tips, a best bets tips article and exotics tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our Aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

In this article we focus on putting together a couple multi bets of varying risk as we look to pick up some more lucrative bets in conjunction with our Wednesday tips so follow me below as I outline my best multi bets of the day!

Canterbury - R2

#7 - Super Zippi - WIN @ $3.20

Super Zippi comes here for her Canterbury debut in a maiden that has shaped up to be very deep but I think that with the benefit of a few good runs aboard he’s going to be tough to get past here. His past two starts have come at Wyong and the Hawkesbury when getting unlucky two back, not able to find a spot until late to get past the winner when doing all the work into second and then battling on well last time out from the worst part of the ground at the Hawkesbury into third. He maps to get a nice trail in here and should be strong from near the front.

Canterbury - R4

#3 - Kotaishi - PLC @ $1.55

Feature race of the day with this $100k maiden and I have landed on Kotaishi for Ciaron Maher who comes out of this identical race two weeks ago where he was brilliant in defeat, comfortably beating the field bar the winner who looks a very progressive animal in Little Jeanie. He’ll shape up smarter for the run, hard fit and I think he takes this out.

Warrnambool - R10

#9 - Jabbawockeez - PLC @ $1.95

Jabbawockeez is a horse I always have time for and comes here in good enough order for me to want to tip in a get out. He’s a Hayes trained horse who resumed over the 1400m at Caulfield Heath where he wasn’t a winning chance, getting buried deep, but the way he came on strongly late behind Jucconi was brilliant when closing heaps of distance. That’s good form for this, he’ll be improved and should settle closer in the run, looks a good bet.

Canterbury - R4 #3 - Kotaishi - PLC$1.55

Total Odds: $9.50

Stats and Insights

  • Multi betting can prove very lucrative as you can take two short favourites and land up with very good odds as they are multiplied.
  • Since the returns on multi bets are perpetuated you are able to make smaller investments and minimise your risk
  • Frequency of losses is increased with multi betting as you are generally chasing higher odds bets that have more legs to fulfill.

Best Horse Racing Betting Sites

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
