In its last race at Moonee Valley on October 26, it came out on top with a winning margin of 0.8 lengths. It was carrying 55kg and held off Royal Champion (57kg), which was pretty good to watch at $3.90 odds. So, it's looking in good touch for this race. Before that, Plenty Of Ammo finished first at Flemington in an Open on October 5, 2024, over 1400m. Has enjoyed plenty of success at Flemington with a 100% record of finishing in the top three. Very good stats when it's racing at this 1600m distance. A lot of winning form on dry tracks, the Flemington track should suit it nicely. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.

Last start, this horse tried its best but was just not good enough in the end, finishing 4th of 7 at Randwick-Kensington in a BM78 over 1400m, 3.6 lengths behind Congregation (57.5kg). But I'm backing it to get into the top three this time or maybe even get the win for punters on Saturday. Very good record at the track, watch out for it on Saturday.

Last time on the track, it placed 3rd out of 10 in the Cls 4 at Eagle Farm on October 19. That race was on a good track and it came in 1.2 lengths behind The Inflictor (56.5kg). Should be in the mix. Previously, 1st of 7 at Eagle Farm Cls 3 on July 10, 2024, over 1000m. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.

This week’s racing features a loaded agenda as we have seven Group 1 races before our Melbourne Cup 2024 guide next Tuesday. Mid-week racing will see the Bendigo Cup over 2400m at Bendigo Racecourse, look out for Wednesday horse racing tips by our team. Then on Saturday, it is derby day at Flemington. We have the Coolmore Stud Stakes, Empire Rose Stakes and Victoria Derby. It’s also a massive day at Rosehill on Saturday with The Golden Eagles, Rosehill Gold Cup and Russell Balding Stakes.
