Resuming on Saturday. It hit the track on May 11 and Arkansaw Kid put in a solid effort, finishing 6th out of 15. Saturday's race sees some good odds to have a crack, I think. With Luke Currie on board, that gives me confidence too. Previously, 5th of 16 at Morphettville Open on April 27, 2024 over 1200m. Very good record at the track, watch out for it on Saturday.

Bubba's Bay showed some promise at Randwick last time. In it's last start, Bubba's Bay placed 3rd out of 8 in a BM88 on July 27 over 1100m, on a heavy track, just 0.9 lengths behind Sneaky Paige (56.5kg) with 56kg at $10.00. Previously, 2nd of 8 at Newcastle Barrier Trial-Open on July 18, 2024 over 920m. Distance shouldn't be an issue either, loves running 1200m. The wet track should pose no problems. Likes running second-up, good record. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.

Last run, it finished 3rd at Sunshine Coast over 1000m. Likes running at Doomben, has won 4 times in 14 starts. Also, has won at the distance before. Should be right in the thick of things. I think its a real genuine each way chance.
