Last run, took down Theophilus (59.5kg) over 1200m at Ballarat Synthetic (starting price: $1.95). I think that was an impressive win, so I'm backing Patriot Star to get the win on Thursday, especially from barrier 8 with Ben Allen in the saddle. Before that, Patriot Star finished first at Echuca in an Mdn on July 26, 2024, over 1100m. Likes running on soft tracks and tomorrow's track should be nice. I think it could be a nice safe each way bet.

I like the look of Rolling Magic in Race 6 at Hawkesbury on Thursday. Previously won at Hawkesbury over 1600m, carrying 59kg. That was a really good win, so I think Rolling Magic should be tough to beat on Thursday too. Before that, Rolling Magic finished first at Newcastle in a Mdn on September 20, 2024, over 1400m. Loves this track as it has yet to finish outside the top 3. Very good stats when it's racing at this 1600m distance. Likes running in dry conditions. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.

Last race, placed 3rd of 9 at Geraldton in a BM70+ over 1200m, just 1.5 lengths behind Patchwork (57.5kg) carrying 55kg at $4.80. Geraldton stats are excellent, having not finished outside the top 3 yet. Also should enjoy running third-up, she has won before in this situation. The 1400m should suit too.
