Saturday Racing Tips - Eagle Farm Racecourse 04/11/23

Racing returns to Eagle Farm for a great support card for the Group 1 races that we see taking place in VIC and I am keen for this card where I think there are some very solid betting spots. I have run through all the racing and picked three races that I think have some particularly smart horses going around so follow me below as I outline the days racing at Eagle Farm!

BEST BET - #3 - Devine Force (BEST BET)
Devine Force is a smart horse for Chris Munce and I think likely takes this out. She made his career debut two weeks ago over this track and trip where she didn’t look a winning chance well off the speed but just found clear air and started flying home late for a powerful win. She will have no work to do in this small field and from the draw and with that run under the belt she surely runs well here.

THE DANGER - #9 - Ending Sweet
Tony Gollan’s Ending Sweet is a smart horse who comes off the back of a trial here last Tuesday where she looked to be moving very nicely when placing second in a very fast time. She gets a nice claim and a good draw and with the low weight it should allow her to roll forward and will give them something to catch.

VALUE BET  - #1 - Mythbusta
I think that Mythbusta is being overlooked here and hasn’t set a foot wrong in his two career outings to date. His debut came at Eagle Farm where he was able to place a close third to some good horses before stepping out at the Sunshine Coast last time where he shifted out three wide on the straight and only went down late when laying out. They suggested blinkers for his next and they come on now, third up, can surprise.

BEST BET - #2 - Rousseau (NEXT BEST)
Rousseau is going to belt these I am confident. He has been absolutely flying for Chris Waller and comes off the back of a run at Doomben last Saturday where he was in a sit and sprint and really found the line with purpose late. I think he will relish getting out to the 1800m and hard fit now, I doubt anything beats him here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Quality Time
Quality Time looks like he will relish getting out to this trip and comes into this off the back of the Shibli Race two weeks ago at this track at the mile when he looked to have his chance but just couldn’t get there when going down to his stablemate. I think he will get his chance this time round and will be dangerous here.

VALUE BET  - #6 - Kipling's Journey
Kipling’s Journey looks like he wants slightly further than this but in this small field he will still be competitive here and is in great form. He gets in super light here and off the back of his last run where he ran over the mile here he was finding the line very well late when just not being able to get one over the winner and beating the rest of the field there. Tough to beat here.

BEST BET - #5 - Evocator 
Evocator looks a smart favourite for Barry Lockwood and I think will be very tough to beat here. He comes off of a run at this track and trip a fortnight ago when he was on the speed and looked to click up to win at the right time but just was overrun by Corfe Castle late. He is crying out for a win and gets another chance now.

THE DANGER - #14 - Fixated
Fixated looks like he can hit back hard here after getting a luckless run last time out and I think that at this point in his prep he is hard fit and ready to fire for Rob Heathcoate. He last ran at the 1400m at this track where he was slowly away but really got going late in the piece and then was inconvenienced in the straight when starting his run. There’s already been a subsequent winner out of that race and I think he hits back hard here.

VALUE BET - #3 - Boodua Romance (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Boodua Romance is a definite winning chance here and looks to be in career best form for Lindsay Gough. She won over the 1000m two runs back in good style before coming to the 1300m here when he was right out the back of the run and came on very strongly to be beaten under two lengths by Blakmax. Small field here and should be able to settle a lot closer and have plenty for them late.
