Eagle Farm R4 - XXXX Brisbane Cup (3200m)

Selections:
#9 - Teofilo Star  - $2.60
#1 - Kukeracha - $5.00
#10 - Outlandos (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $21.00
#3 - Selino - $10.00

BEST BET - #9 - Teofilo Star
It’s hard to get away from the Waterhouse / Bott trained Teofilo Star who looks like he could go onto the jumps soon but has done nothing wrong thus far on normal turf racing. He raced last week over the 2520m at Flemington when leading and giving nothing else a chance to get in the race, winning dominantly. He should lead these again here and I struggle to see much being able to run him down if he holds form.

THE DANGER - #1 - Kukeracha
Kukeracha has likely been working towards this race for Chris Waller and after a few come up runs in the prep he has really found form and taken off in his last two. He ran two back in the Wagga Cup and was very good there, bursting through late to win and looked like he would but was claimed late to end up in the placings. He then went onto the Premier’s Cup (G3) two weeks back at this track over the 2400m and narrowly won there in an ever honest effort. i think he’s primed for this now, go close.

VALUE BET  - #10 - Outlandos (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Outlandos is proven at these distance ranges and has the runs on board to be fit and competitive here. He raced in a BM78 a couple weeks back at Rosehill when starting his run a bit early, letting down quickly and hard just before the turn and really digging his foot into the ground when just holding on to win there. However, that run does read well for this and given, with the extra few hundred meters to run, that the run is timed a bit better, he can speck at big odds.

Eagle Farm R8 - The Star Stradbroke Hcp (1400m)

Selections:
#9 - Think About It (NEXT BEST)  - $3.40
#18 - Hawaii Five Oh - $5.50
#1 - Rothfire - $17.00
#5 - Converge - $8.00

BEST BET - #9 - Think About It (NEXT BEST)
Think About It has just been clocking in far too good times and running with an arrogance and class that can’t be ignored. He had his first back test in the Kingsford Smith a fortnight back where he took on the older horses in a WFA contest and just kept showing his class to win very well again. He was second up there so there should be even more upside to come and has obviously been working towards this race specifically, very excited about his prospects.

THE DANGER - #18 - Hawaii Five Oh
This horse is probably my favourite going around in Aus at the moment. The Waterhouse and Bott trained Hawaii Five Oh has been nothing short of exceptional in his three runs for the stable thus far. He smoked them under Nash there, managing to get a margin on Yellow Brick in the straight and holding it to the line for a strong win. He gets in at only 49.5kg on his back with King aboard and will be sure to make this interesting. Top top chance.

VALUE BET  - #1 - Rothfire
Rothfire is another runner who comes out of the same form lines as the two mentioned above and I just can’t knock him really. He’s had three runs this time in for the Heathcoate stable and each has been full of merit. He resumed in the ASCT QLTY where he went down late to his fitter / further in prep stablemate Prince Of Boom before saluting in fine fashion in the Victory Stakes here a few weeks ago. He’s since run in the Kingsford Smith finishing third to the aforementioned Think About It and Converge. Not sure what they do from the wide gate but I think Schiller will try to utilise some of Rothfire’s early speed and lob him onto the pace, in which case we should see him go very close here.

Eagle Farm R9 - Nuturf Spear Chief Hcp (1300m)

Selections:
#15 - Opal Ridge (BEST BET) - $2.60
#3 - Sheeza Belter- $8.00
#8 - Tycoon Evie - $11.00
#1 - September Run - $8.50

BEST BET - #15 - Opal Ridge (BEST BET)
Opal Ridge I am confident measures up here and makes these looks small. I think she is working towards The Everest with how good she has been going. He resumed off of a quick four week let up in the Luskin Star at Scone and looked like a G1 horse there, sitting back in the field and just coasting along before asked for it, where she shifted out three wide and motored over them easily, seemingly just going through her gears easily.

THE DANGER - #3 - Sheeza Belter
Sheeza Belter has been going very well for the Snowden’s and looks very well placed here for her return. She had a decent Summer prep before going away for a spell and now returns having not raced since The All Star Mile where she was at the end of her prep and didn’t really finish the race off there. She has had two very nice trials to lead her back into this, the latest of which she trucked along to win and I think she will go well on her return.

VALUE BET - #8 -Tycoon Evie
No knock on the Snowden trained Tycoon Evie who looks to really have found form last time out second up off of a short 8 week let up. He ran in the Silk Stocking a month back as favourite over the 1400m where he was caught three wide all run and still started a powerful run in the home straight but the hard run told and he just couldn’t get there when finishing third. He maps for a much softer run now, is hard fit and I see him only running well come Saturday

Best Promotions for Eagle Farm Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
